I rescued a 4 year old Chihuahua who was not housebroken or trained in any way. Because Chihuahuas are notoriously difficult to train and housebreak, I thought I might need some assistance. I have been working with Wendy for a few months now and I am learning how to train my dog; and it’s working. Today I broke a dish in the kitchen. I wanted to keep my dog out of the kitchen so I could safely clean up the shards without subjecting her to injury. I told her to sit and stay, she did. When she did not hold her stay position long enough (she is still learning) I used another technique Wendy taught me. My pup was never under foot and I safely cleaned up the broken pieces. Everyone wants a well trained dog. Sometimes, you Need a well-trained dog to keep them safe. Thank you again, Wendy. It's been many years since I first met Wendy..... and I have used many trainers over the years..... but it is Wendy's techniques that I return to time and time again! Positive reinforcement is absolutely necessary when training pups of all ages, but so are limits and boundaries .... just like children. We hired Wendy, our Leader of the Pack personal dog trainer, and wow what an immediate difference in our pups!
