LECA

When we first adopted Maisie from the Newark Shelter…she didn’t really know how to be a dog. I know that sounds crazy, because she is a dog, but…. And how can humans teach her how to be a dog? But let me tell you….. So first we brought in a trainer to help - and she recommended Leca Academy. Thank goodness! We LOVE Leca Academy! They have helped Maisie and us in SO MANY ways! In addition to going to school (not camp) 3 days a week, they also offered Leash and Obedience classes. They also helped Maisie not to have fear — around vacuums, other loud noises, and things that dogs may not interact with on a regular basis. Bill and I cannot say enough great things about Leca Academy! You have made such an impact! Thank you — so much — for how much you’ve helped Maisie (and us)!

Shea has been going to LECA for over a year. I started sending him as a one year old to the school program so that he could learn proper play with other dogs and get more socialization. Through the leash manners group class, one on one sessions with the trainers, and the willingness of the staff to always answer any question I have, Shea and I have both learned so much more than that. The way he runs to the car when I tell him he is going to school is a testament to how much he loves LECA, and how much they love on your dog.
