Having a 3-1/2 month old Mini Bernedoodle puppy (cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and standard Poodle), I was looking for a trainer with 'heart', someone who could direct Murphy's gentle nature and teach him the basics within a 4-day travel window. Kris customized Murphy's training and was beyond my expectations in teaching him to leash walk, recall (come when called), spot placement (place), and respond to all the basic commands. He provided a loving, learning environment with reasoning for me to understand how simple commands such as sit, down and free can pave the way toward better behavior. Murphy loved Kris from day one and responded to his commands with ease. Beyond that, Kris taught me how to continue reinforcing what Murphy has learned. Having met with other trainers, I can say without question that Kris is the only trainer I would trust to handle my dog's training. I am from AZ and will fly up again with my dog Murphy in August for follow-up training with Kris. For now, I appreciate having a dog who knows the basics and whom I can continue to train, with Kris' guidance. He understands the nature of dogs, how they think, and is a fantastic trainer - the best! Thank you, Kris, for providing guidance to both Murphy and I that has led to a better mannered dog!

After researching dog trainers in the area, I contacted Kris. He was very prompt and got back to me right away, he understood the concerns I had and listened as to what the issues were and what I wanted corrected. I feel like he is very realistic and still lets dogs be dogs, he approaches training them from an individual aspect and doesn’t have a “fix all” I saw results in my dog after the first week and our home life is much less stressful thanks to working with Kris. I’ve worked with 4 other dog trainers before that all had different approaches to training, but I honestly think he is the perfect balance and happy medium between all 4, not too strict but also not too lax (some of the trainers I’ve worked with told me just to ignore them when they are doing something bad and not correct at all, which did not work and resulted in more issues). I’m so glad I ended up contacting him and I will definitely use him in the future and recommend him.

Kris has been absolutely phenomenal to work with training our 1yo German Shepherd but also with teaching us how to handle our dog. He’s easy going and has a straight forward, no BS approach which has made this experience so seamless. He is thorough in explaining why and how he does everything and his knowledge absolutely shows. Everything we have learned has been easily incorporated into our day to day routines and has made being dog owners so much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trainer!
