Lehigh Valley Dog Training

Requested services for service dog training and she was firstly ruder than rude. Asked for a simple bill so I could submit to social security, she lied and said it was emailed and it never was, on top of that, she claimed she was uncomfortable dealing with 'that organization' WHEN ITS NOT EVEN AN ORGANIZATION. Social security is literally government pay for disabled people! The bill would have allowed me to get money they owed out of backpay to me to train my dog. On top of that, tried calling for almost two weeks with little answer! One of the times she did answer she was EATING ON THE PHONE. You can't get much more unprofessional than this place. DO NOT USE.

This place uses many different names. It was a horrible experience. I was yelled @ the entire time, they took many smoke breaks, they wreaked of alcohol. Due to my dog not liking her, she screamed @ me outside of my home in front of my neighbors. While she was screaming @ me she announced that instead of $600 the bill would be $2000, and she would have to come back & it maybe more. Happy to say my dog has been trained by a compassionate trainer with professional experience.

Gwen & a another trainer came to our house. They put the bite collar on our pit boxer mix then proceeded to put him in every situation to see his reaction. We understood that. Then she told us what a nasty dog he was & she couldn’t guarantee anything & she had the authority to remove him from our home if she felt he was a danger. She had my son completely upset (his dog) at her threats. We took him to the training where we were barely acknowledged besides from the assistant trainer who is very nice. He was assigned to the aggressive dog group. He had his muzzle on as we were told every aggressive dog there had to wear a muzzle. But there were several dogs (mainly German Shepherds) in that group that were clearly aggressive & not muzzled. Also she said her dog signaled that our dog was a “potty mouth” in the circle which no one saw any reaction & our dog didn’t react to her at all. In fact the 2nd time our fog literally laid down totally uninterested. There was no support- we were never told the house visit was a one time occurrence. Yes, the exposure to other dogs & people was good for our dog but we absolutely hated the bite collar especially on our dog’s thinner coat. My son had major concerns about the other aggressive dogs there as he knew he could control his muzzled smaller dog but was not at all confident some of the other handlers could control their large unmuzzled dogs if they went after him. She also charged us $800! I’ve seen her charge others less & know from others we’re not able to get any money back. We were very disillusioned by this experience. We do acknowledge she gave us “tools” to get back in charge of our dog but will not be back & would not recommend this trainer unless you have a shepherd breed. She has a clear prejudice against any bully breed - as evidenced by her attitude & the fact they were the only dogs muzzled.
