I reached out to Gwen at Lehigh Valley Dog Training in October 2025, feeling desperate after adopting my 3-year-old ShihTzu-Poodle, Frajer, 1 month earlier. He was having serious issues, including soiling his crate, and my partner and I were overwhelmed. Gwen took the time to chat with me on a Saturday afternoon and fit us in the very next day, even though we were staying in Bushkill. The session was a game-changer. Gwen and her assistant spent about two hours with us, providing hands-on training and great insights. Gwen recommended a training collar, which I was initially hesitant about, but it made all the difference when walking Frajer. After the session, it was like we had a completely different dog. We even joined her group training that same day, where she had a well-organized, positive environment with other dogs. What stood out was Gwen's approach—she helped us understand Frajer’s behavior and not project our own frustrations onto him. A few weeks later, when he backslid a bit, I reached out to Gwen, and she gave me clear next steps. Now, 3+ months later, Frajer is well-behaved, and we can leave him alone in the Brooklyn apartment without any issues (so far!!). Gwen gave us the tools to succeed, and I can't recommend her enough. She truly saved our relationship with Frajer!

I have a 3 yr old female Doberman for the past 7 months. She was scared of everything, any movement, noise, dogs & people. She nipped my son & wouldn’t let others pet her. We have been attending Gwen Marx, Behaviorist & Trainer for regular training every week which has amazingly helped her. She was always uncertain of men, but now she anxiously awaits pettting from everyone & tries to play with other dogs. She’s now in training to be a service dog & with Gwen’s patience as a Bahaviorist & our weekly sessions, I’m sure we’ll be another success story. My corgi was aggressive with other dogs and didn’t walk well. Guinevere and Amber worked with us for several hours and we followed up with a group class later that day. It’s like I have a new dog! While we recognize we’ll need to work consistently with our dog moving forward, we can’t believe how much progress we made in one day (and neither can our neighbors). We have a 3-yr old high energy mixed breed who was impossible for me to walk. After several attempts at training, it seemed like a lost cause. I kept hearing about a behavioral trainer in the Bethlehem area, that has hands down knows what she’s doing. The “she” is Gwen, and after our initial session with her, our dog and his human parents were on the right track. Within the past 3 months, no more pulling, jumping is almost gone and we are working on his initial barking when greeting someone. He settles down quickly on command, and all without sacrificing his cuddling. Continuing the training, the first time we attended the Sunday group training, we clearly knew we were in the right place with the right person - 50+ dogs, human parents all using the same commands with their pets, and more, healthier environment for much needed socialization!
