Let's Go Dog Training

I started with Sit-Means-Sit and continue with Steve and his cadre at Lets Go dog training. I have been through the programs with 2 Belgian Malinous, the first one a rescue with lots of baggage to work through and the 2nd one a puppy. I took both up through level 3 and continue with the program because like people dogs can continue to learn their entire life. My dogs have always enjoyed going to class, being around the other dogs and certainly the instructors. The instructors are all first rate professionals, they make the dog training and the pet owner training fun. I can not speak more highly of the entire program, it works, and its fun for me and the dog. It is not magic, you have to put in the work like anything else in life but it is worth it. If you are looking for basic obedience traing or much more, Lets Go dog training is the place. Well trained dogs are Happy Healthy dogs, with Happy owners.

My family’s journey with Let’s Go Dog Training Tri Cities began in 2023, one year after we adopted our dog, Shylo. For some backstory, my husband and I adopted Shylo from the Yakima Humane Society in June 2022 when he was 1.5 years old. He was labeled as a Labrador/German Shepherd mix -- lo and behold, one DNA test later proved he was actually 42% Rottweiler, 20% Malamute, 17.5% Siberian Husky, 12.5% Samoyed, and 8% “super mutt”, containing Chow-Chow and German Shepherd DNA! Being first-time large dog owners, we had no idea what we had gotten ourselves into, especially since we were specifically trying to avoid adopting a husky! Shylo exhibited the classic “husky destructiveness” whenever my husband and I were away at work for 8+ hours a day. I was at my wits' end, completely stressed and angry with the dog, so much so that I started to consider placing him back at the shelter; I thought he would have been better off with a family that had the time and patience for him and his shenanigans. Between work, extended family, and mental health crises, it wasn’t until after I quit my job that we were able to fully commit to getting Shylo into Let’s Go for some much-needed guidance and training. Y’all, it was a LIFE SAVER!! This dog went from eating and destroying furniture and anything he could get his mouth on, to a well-behaved, wonderful companion. I can’t imagine not having this dog in my life now. Our journey has been a long but rewarding one, and has been well worth every penny. I’m forever grateful that Let’s Go has saved my Shylo from life back at the shelter! We’ve continued our patronage with Let’s Go by enrolling our second dog, Twizzler, into the program in August 2025. It’s been incredible watching this little Chihuahua mix fly through private lessons and Level 1 classes in a matter of weeks! While he’s still a little “terrier” (read: terror), he’s quickly learning, and it’s proven a great opportunity for me to relearn the basics. As of December 2025, Shylo is in Level 3 classes, and Twizzler is in Level 2. My husband and I are thankful for Let’s Go and the positive impact they’ve had on our dogs and our lives! Everyone is wonderful, kind, friendly, and most of all, has never made me or my husband feel judged. Thank you, Let’s Go!
