We couldn't be happier with the support and guidance we received through the associates program. When we adopted our puppy at 8 months old, we wanted to make sure she had a strong foundation of basic commands and good manners. All the trainers helped us build that foundation while making training approachable, effective, and enjoyable for both us and our dog. As our puppy settled into our home, we began noticing some concerning behaviors, including resource guarding around food and bones and reactivity toward other dogs. Specifically, Dana was incredibly knowledgeable and proactive, creating a customized training plan that included both private sessions at the facility and training in our home. She took the time to understand our dog's specific challenges and gave us practical tools, clear guidance, and the confidence to work through them successfully. The progress we've seen has been remarkable. Our puppy is becoming a confident, respectful, and well-adjusted dog, and we feel far more equipped as owners because of Dana's support. Her patience, expertise, and genuine care for both dogs and their families truly set her apart. We are so grateful for everything Dana and the team have done for us and would highly recommend the program to anyone looking for professional, compassionate training that delivers real results.

We have nothing but great things to say about Nance and everyone we worked with at Life is Dog. We adopted a very sweet but extremely anxious and reactive 1.5-year-old labradoodle named Willow. A brief highlight reel of her track record included jumping our 5-foot fence (twice) and breaking two windows trying to get to neighborhood dogs walking by. By the time I reached out to Life is Dog, I was very overwhelmed. We just finished the reactive dog program and Willow is a completely different lady. On day one, she couldn’t be in the same room as the stuffed-animal dog. By the end she was able to walk around, sit & relax all within feet of another (real!) dog. She is happier, more confident, and so much calmer. She can now relax in the backyard and watch the street without wanting to fight everyone who walks by. Nance was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. She clearly understands reactive dogs and adjusted the training plan whenever Willow needed it. She was also always quick to respond to emails and questions. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommend!

Our dog Kaia a German Shepard Husky mix started to show signs of reactivity. Found life is dog a 7 week aggression program, had our first consultation with Dana and immediately signed up. Training took place at her facility, and at our apartment. Since completing training, Kaia has become more confident and so have we. Planing on moving to group training with Life is dog and can’t wait to continue Traning. Thank you Dana so much for everything you have done! If you are considering it just do it.

This is my fourth Golden Retriever in the last 35 years; all have had formal obedience classes. My first Golden went through a course taught by a K-9 officer. The next two were in classes of ten dogs and all Goldens. One of the great aspects of classes at Life is Dog are small (5-6) class sizes of all dog types. The trainers are all well verse in presenting the skills needed to train you the dog owner. Because you're training your dog. Sawyer and I worked with all the trainers on staff, Nance, Dana, Jenna and Ainara. Each one had different approaches to training which kept the classes exciting. One day, Jenna had set up an obstacle course, to get the dogs thinking and problem solve and gain confidence. I have suggested Life is Dog to other dog owners and highly encourage Life is Dog as choice for an awesome experience.
