I rarely write reviews but I truly want to share my experience and recommendation with anyone looking for a great and affordable dog trainer. Lisa has helped me have the best dog I’ve ever had be the companion I’m proud to take in public. I have been attending classes with Lisa since my fur baby was a tiny little fur-ball. Ok not so tiny. I went to Lisa to make sure my English Mastiff ( now 180 lbs) would be a well behaved member of society. I have not been disappointed. Lisa has worked with me and Milo long and hard to make him a great dog and me a responsible owner. While other trainers work with treats or clickers, Lisa teaches communication. I have had many dogs and a lot of different classes with them but never any even close to the quality that I’ve found with Lisa. And just to clear any misconceptions, we still go back to group classes not because my boy isn’t well behaved, no we go for the continued support, community, socialization and reinforcement that participation gives us. My boy gets so excited when I say we get to go see Lisa. I can not recommend Lisa highly enough.

We found Lisa after originally reaching out to another local dog trainer who never returned our call. I’m glad he didn’t because Lisa’s K-9 Kids is the place to be if you want a well-behaved dog! Our dog is our baby, but after nearly 3 years we had let her become VERY spoiled. She jumped on guests, was aggressive toward other dogs, and was IMPOSSIBLE to walk on a leash. We are only on our SECOND training session with Lisa, and our dog is already heeling and walking calmly by other dogs without as much as a glance. She’s a new dog! We also learned that WE, the humans, needed as much (if not more) training than the dog. We love Lisa’s tough-love, to the point, no-nonsense style. I can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish in future weeks, months, and years with Lisa’s guidance. We’re clients for life. Contact Lisa, you won’t be disappointed!

Lisa (Lisa’s K9 Kids) has been training Bennie for approximately 6 months. Bennie was abused when he was little, and he was afraid of everyone and everything. Bennie had a training base, but Lisa took him up to the next level. Through her outstanding training methods Bennie has become more confident in his abilities to socialize not only with people but other dogs as well. He is an outstanding Service Dog (diabetes) for me and a very popular Therapy Dog here in Weatherford, TX. He is excellent off leash and with the automatic sit, and not nearly as reactive to sudden noises and movements as he used to be. Further evidence of his excellent training is last Saturday, 13 April 2019, when he and I attended an event in Dallas and he maintained a 3 hour down. There were over 500 people walking all round him. He never moved a paw, even when I got up to socialize. He now has over 50 Therapy dog visits to include nursing homes, rehab centers, memory care units, Alzheimer’s wards, Senior Living facilities and retirement homes. He could not have reached this elevated level of training had Lisa not shown patience and taken the time to assess him and design a program that would maximize his full potential. Yesterday (15 April 2019) was his first High School Therapy dog visit. Over 200 students came by and petted him. I was SO proud of him. 6 months ago, he would have probably run away and hid. Patience, understanding, professionalism and kindness with a dose of stern when needed makes Lisa one of the best dog trainers I have had the pleasure to work with. Her methods are extremely effective, results orientated and not food driven. I knew Bennie had potential, but Lisa helped show me how to bring out and maximize that potential. Thank you, Lisa.
