Lisa's K-9 Kids

I have been going to dog training with Lisa since my puppy Harper was 10 weeks old. She does an amazing job at teaching the owner how to build a relationship with their pup starting from a young age. It’s the foundation needed for everything! Don’t expect a program where you hand the dog off and she does all the work. This is only true if you go to day training in 2nd grade but otherwise you’re the one needing to do the homework and training outside of class time. And it makes a difference!! Most anywhere I go I get complimented on Harper’s behavior. She’s a year old so we have been at it most of her life with breaks here and there. My first dog (german shepherd) didn’t start training until she was 6 months old and she was already overstimulated and not socialized enough so unfortunately she can’t get taken around much. I love all my dogs but Lisa’s classes have really given me that relationship I needed with my dog as a companion. Now Harper and other dogs in our class have the upperhand when going to restaurants, dog sports, etc. Don’t let someone else train your puppy! Start young and you will not regret it!! Harper loves Lisa!

Last November I went to the animal shelter and adopted a 4 month old German Sheppard mix. Doing what I thought was best for him, I enrolled him at Lisa’s dog training. We have been with her for around 6 months through her programs and trainings. Just recently she kicked us out because our dog began to lunge at another dog. Instead of calling us to discuss the issue, she sent us an unprofessional and insulting text message. Our dog is a wonderful dog that is full of love and is amazing around my children and even my mother in-law’s dog. Lisa is not an expert in dog behavior. After speaking to a behaviorist we discovered that our dog is a reactive dog and needs some training to be in a large group of dogs. He was unfairly treated and labeled by Lisa, as was I. We do not recommend her as a trainer because of her unprofessionalism and her lack of communication. Our dog is a good dog that came from a shelter and a hard life and he has been unjustly treated. I encourage you to try to find another trainer who actually cared about the dog’s well-being and is professional in their communication and practices in their business.

Hello I went to one private class with her last Sunday and she was great my dad really like her and we were set to go to another classes on today at 3pm as she told us that my dog needed another class before we can get him in the group . My dad even request to leave early from his job and she called me at 2pm today to tell me that my dog wont be a good fit for her anymore... why the heck did you make us agree to another classes and have him request to leave early for you to cancel the classes an hour before. The sad part is that I confirm with her yesterday about my classes definitely not professional
