Jan is The best dog trainer I have ever met and gotten to work with with my one year-old American bully who has been having so many aggression issues. We started at another trainer and didn’t get anywhere with his aggression problems. It only got worse so we stopped going for a couple months And got recommended to come to Live Oak Dog And in the first class alone, I could see all the improvement that my Dog will be making he was freaking out the first few minutes of the class like we thought he would But after about 1520 minutes of Jan working with him, he was able to do all of the exercises that they put him through Great information As well as it seems like she really cares about every single And it shows with all of the time and effort she puts into it Would highly recommend Live Oak dog obese

Jan is THE BEST. I could write a novel on how incredible she is, but I’ll try to keep it short and sweet. Jan helped us train our Cane Corso from when he was about 12 weeks old until he was around 4 years old, when we moved away from Utah. He was the BEST dog. We could bring this 140-lb “beast” everywhere. He was non-reactive, incredibly well-mannered, and able to be protective yet friendly when we needed him to be. We got compliments everywhere we went on how well-behaved he was. He had zero issues when we brought our twins home from the hospital and was so gentle with them. We walked the streets of Waikiki, Hawaii, with him, and he was completely unphased. We were even able to leave him in our hotel without a crate when we needed to go somewhere, and we never had an issue. He really was the best dog. And it wasn’t just the training. Jan taught us how to build that relationship and bond with our dog, which has been just as valuable as the training itself. Unfortunately, he passed away early from bone cancer, and we later rescued a pit mix. I was so bummed that we couldn’t train with Jan again since we no longer live in Utah. That being said, every skill she taught us transferred over, and I’ve been able to use those same methods with our new dog. We’ve had him for about 5 months now, and he is already off-leash trained and has almost perfect manners. I am so incredibly grateful to Jan and for everything she taught us, and so are our dogs, kids, and family. I’m grateful that we can have these amazing dogs who add so much joy to our lives without constantly worrying about them becoming a nuisance. Jan doesn’t sugarcoat things. She’ll tell you exactly how it is and explain why, but if you truly want a well-behaved dog, listen to her.

Jan is amazing. She explains all of her reasoning behind what she teaches us. I love that she is focused on teaching the humans who are handling the dogs and not just the dogs. She is a very honest woman and will tell you how it is. I’m so greatful we found her. My puppy is a female gsd and I was struggling with bitting, leash pulling, and general obedience issues and Jan is constantly asking how those are going and continuing to give us ideas and different things to try. My puppy no longer pulls on a lead and is very much a behaved dog now. Thank you Jan!
