Love For Dogs

Dobby absolutely loves going to Love for Dogs! 🐾 He especially loves their pool parties and always has the best time playing with his fur friends. They’ve always taken great care of him, whether he’s there for daycare or boarding, and I feel comfortable leaving him in their care. He always comes home happy and exhausted from having so much fun! 😂🐶 Thank you, Love for Dogs, for taking such good care of Dobby and making it a place he genuinely loves going to! ❤️

I have been bringing my dogs here since 2021. It really pains me to change my former 5 star review to a 1 star. I knew the former owners very well (we were friends over time), and they trained my older French bulldog. I have boarded him here every trip we’ve taken since then, and also brought him for refresher courses in training and daycare since 2021. I got a second French bulldog puppy last year, who also came here for training. Since the prior owners sold the location, I have noticed a decline in the ability and care of the staff. Her training was definitely significantly subpar compared to my other pup. She will not follow any commands, and is also not fully potty trained (another aspect that we had asked for in her training). Basically, I am not sure what we paid for. The trainers I have met or seen videos from seem very inexperienced and sometimes are unable to handle the dogs (my dogs are less than 33 pounds each). Most recently, I had boarded both of the pups for a week. There were multiple issues I will highlight below. The most serious concern I had since that week of boarding is a behavioral change in my puppy. She normally has a very sweet disposition and gets along with all dogs. She attends daycare at multiple places and is loved by dogs and staff alike. Upon returning home, she is now growling at other dogs, and she tried to aggressively attack my older pup repeatedly. This aggressive behavior started immediately after she returned home from Love for Dogs and had never happened prior. She also had a staph infection in her neck, which appears to be from a bite. I am concerned she was attacked or had a traumatic incident, and actually had to take the pups for emergent training a few days after bringing them home with another facility (costing many thousands of dollars) because I was scared they’d hurt each other. I have requested a call for the past week almost daily and have not yet been contacted. I feel very hurt and betrayed as I felt that some of these people were like family to my pups over the years. I am truly hoping that the new facility we emergently took her to will be able to help her recover so she can come home. The next issue I had was when I came back and picked them up, they were supposed to be bathed ($80 paid). My dogs had mud and filth that could only have accumulated for days still on them. No one could give me a straight answer if they’d been bathed at first, but later they said they were bathed but got muddy after. The layers of mud we scrubbed off when we got home could not have been from one day. We requested a refund but our calls and texts have been ignored. TLDR- I do not recommend this place for training, daycare or boarding, at the risk of your dog being injured, traumatized, and not cared for properly.

I took my dog here for training and he turened out amazing he understands basic commands and even more advanced commands. The staff is always friendly and amazing with the dogs. I also bring my other dog here everything we travel and I’m always worried free because I know she’s in great hands! One thing I love about love for dogs that’s other boarding places don’t have is the communication. The updates they send with videos and photos keeps me calm to know my babies are doing great !
