Luci went to board and train for 20 days. She’s a five year old rescue Shepard Rottweiler mix that changed a lot after Covid from being the most chill, people and dog loving dog to showing fear aggression, anxiety, over protectiveness of me and my son to a point I couldn’t walk her anymore without being scared she’d go after any dog or person we pass by. We couldn’t have anyone come to the house anymore other than people she considered family. She attacked a friend of ours when coming in the house. Would react to every bark, noise or movement in the neighborhood and would not stop barking…and nothing helped to pop her out of this rage. She worked with Sean and then Alex and she started off a little slow, baby steps. When we picked her up after 4 weeks she was still trying to figure things out however I saw a major improvement in her following daily commands without major triggers like doorbell or knocking, that’s a work in progress. She’d stay in place not door dash all the time or ignore commands period. Much less reactive to what’s going on with neighbors or any noise, or dogs walking by the house and would actually stop when put in place. Walking her was so much easier than before. I travel a lot so I brought her back for regular boarding. We picked her up and did a little refresher with Alex during their bite training Wednesday. There was dogs, people and training going on and Luci was totally cool around all that, still did great at walking, commands and staying in place despite all those triggers right in front of her. We stayed for over an hour in the midst of all of that and it felt like I have a different dog, she literally laid down to take a nap lol. She came a long way! Best decision I ever made. Alex is a great communicator, kind and available for any questions I had along the way. I will continue to come for boarding as this environment change a lot for Luci and us. We are committed to continue the work and get our old dog back and hopefully my son can have friends come over again. If all of the above sounds familiar check them out! I highly recommend coming to low country K9 for not only day care but the train and board. My husband and I both work long days and they have never failed to take good care of our pitbull Iroh. Our pit is about 8 months old and struggled with walking on the leash, responding to commands and maintaining commands for any period of time. We reached out to Alex to help us with behavioral correction through the course of a 10 day board. The time period without him was difficult but the vet techs made sure we were updated every day with pictures and videos. We received pictures and videos from Alex and the progress we saw was insane! Getting to see him after the 10 days was a night and day difference. Alex demonstrated all of the training and gave us the tools to be successful and maintain the training at home.
