Lucid Dog Training

So, we got a pandemic puppy - and we knew we needed obedience training. I googled "puppy obedience near me" and took a chance on Chris and Katie with Lucid and boy are we glad we did!! We had a driven, needy, biter who didn't even know her name yet and after 8 sessions, we have a relaxed, fun, playful pup who not only got housebroken, but broke us in too! The sessions were over zoom, so very convenient, and were followed up by extra pointers and videos for continued training and reinforcement. Thank you Chris for training us to be better dog parents and helping make our puppy so happy. Worth every penny.

We have a bloodhound, one on the most instinctual dog breeds. As an experienced dog owner, I thought I could train him on my own. After a year of trying, I learned the techniques I had used on my previously pleasing labrador were not working. I was an extremely unhappy dog owner, and I am sure Clyde, the bloodhound, was unhappy too. At that time, my dog boarder recommended Lucid Dog Training. At initial contact, I was impressed with Lucid's organization and knowledge. However, once Chris began working with our family, I was sold. I was given tools to enforce positive behavior and my bloodhound was given purpose. I appreciated the training extended beyond our weekly sessions via clear communication. We worked with Katie on puppy training for about one year and it was very helpful. Our family learned how to adapt from life with a senior Beagle to welcoming a high energy German-Shorthaired-Pointer puppy. Katie gave us tips to help them get along. For the puppy, we did the basics - potty training, leash walking, sit, down, twist, here, etc… and we worked on discouraging unwanted behaviors with positive reinforcement and then later e-collar training. Our experience with Lucid was more than just dog training & Katie really helped our family function better with our new pup - Thank you!
