We had Madison come out and start working with our English Pointer when she was about 1 year old. She was able to work miracles with her. We adopted her not having any idea of her energy level. We have most recently left her for a week of board & train what a great experience. Gracie seems to have enjoyed her vacation. She has become such a wonderful dog. My husband and I signed up for Lucid K9’s private lessons, which included five one-hour lessons with Madison for our one-year-old Maltipoo, and we honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience! Madison was always on time, super professional, and clearly incredibly knowledgeable—not just about training techniques, but also about overall dog behavior and health. What really impressed us was how thorough and patient she was. She never rushed through anything and always made sure we fully understood each lesson before moving on. She explained the "why" behind each method, walking us through different scenarios so we felt confident continuing the training on our own. We felt really supported and set up for success, even between sessions. She helped our pup make real progress with his behavior and gave us clear, easy-to-use strategies to reinforce positive habits and address the tricky ones. She even recommended a harness that helped with our little guy’s gait. She also gave us helpful advice on feeding and health for our older Maltipoo, which we really appreciated. Working with Madison has been wonderful. Even after our lessons ended, our pup is still making impressive progress. We are grateful to have the tools to keep building on what she has taught us! My rambunctious deaf one year old dog did a 4 week board and train with Madison that improved her behavior dramatically. Before, she was unable to walk without pulling, barking at everything that moved, and unable to relax. After spending 4 weeks at Lucid K9 she is able to relax on place, walk right by my side, has better manners in and out of the house, and overall is just more pleasant to be around and understanding of basic obedience skills.
