Lucky Mutt Dog Training

Our pup went to Board and Train at Lucky Mutt when she was 9 weeks old. Ben and Anna sure have a loving and gentle way with dogs! They use all positive reward based training and that’s what really appealed to us. Our pup came home knowing several commands and really able to be calm! She learned not to jump on people for attention-That’s an amazing quality for a puppy! When Ben brought her home, he spent a lot of time showing us how to work with her. I had worried she might forget us while she was gone, but she ran to us and clearly remembered us. Our bond with her didn’t suffer at all. We’re going to have our dog continue to train with Lucky Mutt to expand her skills.

Ben and Anna provided a safe, fun and engaging environment for our high energy pup to grow in so many ways! She gained a lot of confidence in her interactions with other dogs, and has been continuing to strengthen her new skills of non-distracted loose-leash walking, attentiveness to her humans, as well as "capturing calm" - all thanks for Ben & Anna's awesome training and positive reinforcement! We searched far and wide for a program that would be a good fit, so are we are lucky to have found them! We couldn't recommend Lucky Mutt more!

Sent our puppy for six weeks to this board and train. We Feel like he was boarded only and not trained. We have not seen any evidence of training behaviors. It was very difficult to contact anyone at Lucky Mutt they never answer their phone…messages are returned by email only. I had to email asking for updates as none were given without my request. I feel like for 5k we could have had a lot more communication…😣 We have had to restart puppy training with another dog trainer. This time in home training for all of us and finally we are having success!

I contacted this company because were considering getting a very small puppy of which we would need to train in our condo which has a all open floor plan. I spoke with Kevin about how we could make this work. I was so impressed with his encouraging information about how we could make this work for potty training and without a commitment. Of course he would be available for advanced training if this was something we would like to do. We will definitely contact Kevin when our puppy becomes available. thank you Kevin
