Lumpy's Kennels

Just picked up our 2nd Spinone puppy from Jeff. I recommend Jeff/Lumpys's for anyone looking for a dog. Jeff responds well and is easy to talk with. He is upfront and honest without being pushy or pressuring and has a lot of information. If you are interested in a hunting dog or curious about some of the breeds he works with do not hesitate to call! Our first puppy, Bruno was amazing at home and in the field. We passed the NAVHDA Natural Ability test with a prize 3 and had a mild hunting season. Otis is the new puppy we just brought home! He is well natured and calm. Looking forward to getting Otis in the field!

I was s long time dog owner rebounding from the loss of Morgan, an "amazing Bernese Mountain dog" and loyal family member for almost 10 years. A friend turned me onto the Spinone breed due to where I live and my outdoor living habits. After calling around to 3 or 4 Spinone breeders in the NY/Pa. area, of which none were available for 6 to 12 months, a breeder gave me Jeff Lemmenes name, owner of Lumpy's Kennels in Wisconsin. I was lucky to hear he had one pup available, and that was not spoken for. After several calls back and forth to get and give information about our living habits, costs, and the breed itself, we opted to get "Savie" a new born female pup and Jeff would contact us when it would be the right time to get her. Raising a young dog at our age was a trial of perseverance and I was continually guided and supported by calls to Jeff for his advice. It's now 13 months later and Savie has turned out to be an amazing, very intelligent, and healthy member of our family. Jeff has continually responded to my questions and concerns and I would not hesitate to recommend anyone from contacting Jeff/Lumpy Kennels, if looking for one of his breeds and an active outdoor type dog.
