FirstBarkKat is fun, friendly and very experienced. In a short time, Kat was able to teach me effective techniques to help control my 7 month old pup. I plan to continue with Kat to enrich the training even more! My pup adores her!

As a professional dog trainer with over 15 years of experience, I can say without a doubt, that “I LOVE DOGS!”. I’ve never met a dog that can’t be trained. My goal is to offer positive and effective training programs that will produce results based on YOUR needs. I use positive reinforcement techniques - I do not hit, slap, yell, or use shock or choke collars. Kat is an amazing trainer who I will be recommending to all my friends in LI! I am a lifelong dog owner and never worked with a trainer before, thinking that I knew enough about dogs to raise them. Come September 2024, I rescued an island puppy (Coco) who is incredibly loving but super energetic! Although Coco was receptive to training, she did not listen at all when she was excited aka around food or when guests came over. Kat not only helped me better understand Coco’s behavior but also gave me so many tools to help Coco focus, including skills I never heard of or thought to try. After a few sessions with Kat, Coco has become a happier dog who now seems to have an appreciation for my guidance. Thank you Kat!!!

I had a fantastic experience with MadKat Dog Training! Kat, the dog trainer, was amazing and really took the time to understand our shepherd mix's needs. Our dog was struggling with some aggression issues, and Kat was incredibly patient and thorough in addressing them. She gave us practical tips and clear guidance that made a huge difference in our dog's behavior. What I really appreciated was how she acknowledged every concern we had, no matter how small.
