Mango Dogs Carolinas

Mind blown is an understatement!! Our biggest regret is not doing this sooner. August is my heart dog/soul dog/best friend & was very reactive on leash since a puppy (the big shepherd looking boy in photo) Mainly to other dogs, but also to cars driving by & people or children walking by. Needless to say, it was not very enjoyable to walk him on leash if other people were around, so bad that I would legit run the other direction if I saw someone. He would also bark a ton inside the house or back yard if he saw a dog walk by or sometimes even an airplane in the sky at night... And would bark when new people would come over which can be scary for guests since he is a large GSD/Great Pyrenees mix with a loud bark. This sadly made it to where we could not take him hiking, as I had always dreamed of doing since he was a puppy. Wasn’t comfortable having guests over much, especially kids because of the barking. Couldn’t really go anywhere in public with him unless we were super far away from people. Let’s just say - August is now the star of the show and the best student!! He has done a full 180 - it’s like a new dog & he is 6 years old!! Now he will listen to every command we give him, even without the eCollar on. We can walk places we haven’t been able to in years, he can hold a sit command while a dog is walking by or walk by little kids & doesn’t budge. It’s insane lol. I used to have to scream at him many times to get him to come inside from our fenced in back yard or chase him around to push him to go inside (even treats often failed to work), which was exhausting and gave me anxiety/unnecessary stress. Now I just say “August come” firmly & he comes right inside 🥹 Stella, our brindle girl is doing much better as well with her aggression issues. She would continuously growl at August, Penelope, us, anyone inside the house due to resource guarding. Now we are able to command her to be calm & not growl at others, or to “place” in her spot to decompress. Penelope, our miniature black pitty is doing much better too with recall & pulling on leash. We didn’t have a ton of issues with her previously, but she is definitely better behaved with all of the commands given. I could cry though how much our boy August has improved & I am forever grateful to Jackson & Mango Dogs for all of the improvement our 3 pups have made in just 4 weeks!! Would absolutely recommend working with Jackson to any dog owner I know if you’d like a perfectly behaved pup ♥️

Frankie was a menace to society prior to working with Jackson and mango dogs. I was mourning the life I envisioned, walking my sweet new rescue, enjoying nature together. As it turns out, he was terrible on the leash. Barking uncontrollably, lunging, growling, etc… mango dogs has given me the confidence to provide Frankie with a foundation of tools that we will continue to use successfully! I highly recommend the training. My number one tip: trust the process!
