Mannered Mutts Training LLC

I reached out to this training center to help assist with my coonhound who is very strong and somewhat stubborn. I can already walk with my dog in a full heel position with no pulling. It has totally changed our life already and it has only been 4 weeks of training. She is paying attention so much better! I appreciate the time and attention provided by the staff. Each morning my dog is so excited to see the staff at drop-off. I am excited to see what the rest of my program brings.

In May 2021, my 8-yr old dog underwent leg amputation due to cancer. Jack has always been hit-or-miss on his dog to dog manners since I adopted him from the shelter back in 2013. We had plans to spend the holidays with our extended family (and new dogs he never met) in close quarters so I was NERVOUS. Working with Mannered Mutts was exactly what Jack needed. They were amazing with him and really helped him rebuild his confidence as a new three-legged dog. He did a 4 week day training program in October/November 2021 and y'all it was like night and day. Jack has always been a little stubborn and very dramatic but the team of trainers there knew exactly how to win him over and they were so patient with us as we tried to learn the skills in our weekly 1-on-1s. They did a fantastic job of answering all of my logistical and hypothetical questions and addressing any of my concerns. Our approach involved a prong collar and a wire muzzle (it fit his face/head best and it was the one that didn't bother him in our tests) and many many treats. They sent many updates and pictures/videos to keep me updated on his progress. I cannot recommend MMT strong enough!

I am so happy that we got to work with mannered mutts. I adopted a puppy named Maggie for service work. She is a great puppy, but she lacked in a lot of obedience skills. Maggie often had leash reactivity, and didn't seem to listen to me at all. Sydnie and everyone who worked with Maggie did an amazing job with her. She is a completely different pup. Maggie loves going to visit the facility. All of her behavioral issues are a thing of the past. She is great on walks and listens. Her task training has gotten better from their help with her skills. The trainers are knowledgeable, and Maggie loves them. I can't thank everyone enough for helping Maggie. Their training has helped me live a better life with Maggie. For that, I will always be grateful.

Professional and quick to respond. While I had to wait to start my dogs training it was well worth it. Jillian and her team take a tremendous amount of time and care with each dog and person they work with. Instructions are clear and well laid out. Homework HAS to be done to see long term success which we have been diligent to keep up with. If you are invested in the best for your dog look no further! My dog is an extremely strong German Shepherd and I never thought I'd be a match for him at under 5 feet tall. Jillian helped me not only believe in the impossible but she most importantly taught me how to communicate with my dog.
