Manners Matter K9 Training

I recently adopted a Belgium malinois that was 1 year 1/2. They are a challenging breed and though I felt prepared, she was even more than I expected. So I looked for a trainer w experience w the breed. Sarah was really great with my dog. But actually she was even better at training me to be a better owner lol. I learned a lot on how to manage her. She gave me many tips that helped me understand my dog. I hadn’t had a new puppy in years as my other dogs were over 15 years at this point. Sarah won me and my dog over. She has a flexible plan that worked with my schedule too. I am glad that I did this with my dog. My other dog has also benefited from what I learned. It was a great decision to work w Sarah.

Thank you Sarah! Aza is a brand-new dog thanks to you!! Aza is our 4.5 year old Labrador. Aza has always been very energetic as a puppy. We had hoped she should grow out of it as she got older, but she continued to be full of energy and at times very hard to manage. On walks it felt like she was walking me, she would do whatever she wanted. She wouldn’t follow commands and was challenging to manage. Over the summer we met Sarah. From our first meeting we felt like Sarah really connected with Aza. She started to interreact with her right away and we felt like she was a great fit and would hopefully get Aza trained. Aza spent 3 weeks with Sarah. Sarah trained Aza in her home. We visited a few times and each time saw more and more progress. Aza was always happy to see us when we visited. She looked like she was very well taken care of, and you could tell she established a great relationship with Sarah. At the completion of here training, she was like a new dog. Aza is now very calm. She used to bark all the time at anything. She now barks maybe once and then settles down. She listens to commands and follows them. She now pays attention to us on her walks and regular interactions. She can run freely in the park, and I know she will come back to me when I call her over. Sarah is a dedicated, knowledgeable and experienced trainer. She is passionate about dog training and is always learning about new and innovative ways to improve her client’s relationships with their dogs. If I could rate 10 stars, I would. I was looking for a trainer who was flexible with their training programs. Of course the basics are very important to me, however, I also wanted a trainer to help with various other 'unwanted manners' my pup displayed that I did not know how to fix myself. From the first phone call, she listened and came up with a game plan of how we were going to work on my dog's behaviors. Sarah was very flexible and made sure I got what I wanted out of the classes. The first assessment should have lasted 30 minutes, however, she stayed much longer, making sure she listened and learned everything she could before I even purchased any plans. I just finished up my 5th lesson with her this past week and still have 5 more to go. Since the first visit, she has worked on the behaviors I stressed were most important to me while putting the basics in throughout the lesson. By the 2nd lesson, my dog was already showing a ton of improve and I was becoming more confident on how to train him. I strongly recommend Manners Matter Training, well worth the money and time for your pup(s) and you!
