Working with Mariah has been such a positive experience for Rue, myself and fiancé. From the very beginning, they took the time to really listen to my concerns and goals, and put together a thoughtful plan that felt both effective and compassionate. We’ve been focused on force-free, positive reinforcement techniques, and I’ve already seen so much progress. Rue is doing much better with loud noises (still a work in progress) but it’s something that used to really stress her out. She’s also greeting people more calmly and confidently. With consistent practice and guidance, her leash walking has improved significantly, she still will pick up socks in the house but she’s been able to learn leave it & drop it pretty well. Commands like sit, down, leave it, stay, drop it, and go to your kennel are all coming along great thanks to the clear and kind training methods. I’m really excited about the progress we’re making and so grateful to have found someone who prioritizes kindness, communication, and understanding. Highly recommend. We’re are about to start the Puppy Pro program so we’re excited to see how much better she does!

She has been a great coach to team up with as we teach our sweet boy how to behave. Her puppy camp was amazing. he came home each day tired but ready to practice because it was fun. We especially appreciate her continuing to work with us as we work through habits he has developed that we don’t like… helping us make a plan of action … helping us teach him what to do instead of what NOT to do. We are thrilled that we found her.

She’s not only punctual and consistent with communication, she’s also patient, intuitive, and genuinely passionate about helping both dogs and their people. A lot of trainers are great with animals but struggle to connect with owners. Mariah is the full package. She’s thoughtful, present, and really takes the time to understand both sides of the leash. Our goal was to get Kilo certified as a therapy dog so we could volunteer in schools, children’s hospitals, and nursing homes. We’re still on the journey, but I’ve already seen incredible results. One of the biggest breakthroughs was with Kilo’s tendency to jump on people who were excited to see him. My original strategy was to train people to stay calm, but let’s be real, that’s not practical when you’re dealing with strangers or children. Mariah recognized this and came up with a much better solution. Through innovative, positive reinforcement techniques I hadn’t seen used anywhere else, she helped us rewire that behavior. Now, instead of jumping, Kilo patiently waits and offers calm behavior as his default to earn affection, even when people approach him with excitement. That shift alone has been game-changing. What I love most about Mariah’s approach is how adaptable and creative she is. If a method doesn’t land the way we expect, she doesn’t force it. She reads the situation in real time and adjusts to meet Kilo where he is. Her ability to improvise while staying grounded in solid, force-free training principles has made all the difference. Every session feels like a true collaboration. Mariah is a rare find. I’ve felt completely supported, understood, and empowered throughout this process. I visited this home (without my pet) in seeking more info on her business. She had multiple dogs roaming the property all at once, which was a little overwhelming. I asked her basic questions about her training style and methods, and she immediately clammed up and starting dodging my questions. This is a true sign of dishonesty. She proceeded to show me the house and took me a bedroom, where she stored one of her skittish Boxers in a metal crate. The house was in such flithy, unsanitary condition and reeked of animal urine throughout. She was also using foam gym mats for the base flooring in the main living room. Don't think the house has ever been cleaned properly. The health dept. needs to pay a visit to this residence because it doesn't seem up to code. She must train dogs at this location because this house is flat out disgusting. *I don't have the wrong business, as I visited your place in person and witnessed this first hand.
