Maringo Creek Farm Dog Training & Boarding

I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to who watches my dog. I had a very travel heavy month and decided to do a board and train with Maringo Creek Farm to address some of my dogs issues (lunging at other dogs when on leash, and to enhance his recall). They did a wonderful job - and honestly, my heart was more at ease than I anticipated knowing he was getting the mental and physical stimulation he needs (he’s a shepherd/husky mix - iykyk). His training has already paid off! I had never boarded a dog for that long (a month) and I’m pretty sure it was harder on me than him because he absolutely loved it there. I also had some travel issues that delayed me getting back in the country and they were so gracious and helpful with the flexibility of allowing my boy to stay a few extra days. Amazing value, great people, and a happy, well-behaved pup!

I am SO impressed with Maringo Creek Farms’ training, time, dedication, service, etc. I genuinely could not say enough good things about the owners and staff. Me and my boyfriend sent our Aussie Shepherd to them for basic 4 week training and he came back so well behaved, attentive, and trained. The whole time he kept his lively and active personality!! You can tell the owners take such great time and care and pride in their work. They’re open, honest, persistent, and have great communication. Our dog, Bandit, returned with a bath and blown out fur—and even a new collar and leash for us to continue his training correctly. They spent the time to go over everything they taught him with each of us plus made every effort to make sure we felt comfortable going home and implementing his learning. Bandit felt so comfortable and confident with both of them and I’m just so thankful for Jana and Ray and could not recommend them enough. 10 stars if I could!!

We have had our pups back home for 5 days now and we couldn’t be more grateful and delighted with their behavior and obedience. We see the greatest difference in our 2 yr old Dakota Sport Spaniel. He was prone to run and chase and wouldn’t come back when called. After spending 4 weeks with Ray and Jana he is EXCELLENT at recall and loose leash walking (which is a small miracle). Our other two, only stayed 2 weeks but or 7yr old English Cream is proof that you can teach and old dog new tricks. He is great with loose leash walking now and like a grumpy old man will wait at doors, depsite his stubbornness. Our daughter’s 6 month old mini golden-doodle stayed for 2 weeks. I wish she would have agreed to the full 4 week basic training because he is doing soo great with wait and loose leash after only two weeks. As hard as it was to be away from them for weeks it was time and money well spent!
