Marquardt K9 Behavior Training provides dog behavior modification and training using the dog's own communication methods in order to train him or her without using any harsh or physical methods. We believe you should not sacrifice the trust your dog has in you in order to gain good behavior, in fact you need your dog's trust to gain lasting good behavior. We teach humans to speak dog in order to train their dogs and get the good behavior they desire.

Ruth at Marquart K9 really helped us with our two dogs- a Golden Retriever and a Sheltie. The Sheltie barked constantly when we operated the vacuum, blender, and power tools. Ruth helped us quickly address the issue. Very simple and understandable solutions. The barking has virtually stopped- a big improvement and less stress for us! She also helped with both dogs when answering the front door and going for walks. She is very knowledgeable regarding dog behavior as well proper food, effective leashing, and other training/ behavioral tools. Her program is a solid value with multiple visits and ongoing support as needed by the customer. She is very personable, takes great notes, and leaves solid instructions. Highly recommended to solve challenging (or minor) pet behavior issues!

We met with Ruth today to work with our dog Snowie and her loud barking. After one session we already see improvement. Snowie is more quiet and our home is calmer. We’ve had 3 training sessions with Ruth and all have been extremely effective. Ruth explains and models the training technique that we need specifically for our dog. She is so experienced on how and why they behave the way they do. Ruth speaks their language and models what we should do to speak “canine” language and correct the unwanted behaviors. We have been very impressed with Ruth and have been successful in our training in such a short period of time.
