MattyG’s Dog Training

I would highly recommend Matt’s services. We came to Matt in need of training our 6 year old granddaughter‘s, 7 month old Standard Poodle puppy Solona. When Solona first arrived at Matt’s she was in need of basic puppy training. We wanted Solona to learn to respect ours and our adult dog’s personal space. Also to learn to sit, lay down, wait, heal, not jump on us and stay in her place. We also asked Matt to crate train her. We could not be more happy with Solona’s results. Solona is such a pleasure to be around. My 6 year old granddaughter can walk her with Solona staying by her side. Solona doesn’t react to other dogs when we are out and about. Solona plays fetch off leash at the park with her ball. She will sit, lay down and wait on command. She loves her crate and stays on her place until given the command to run free. Matt was beyond accommodating and patient with my 6 year old granddaughter and 8 year old grandson. He is patient, kind and has a special gift when working with dogs. Solona fell in love with Matt and loved when he came to give her follow up lessons. We could not be more pleased with Solona’s results.

Matt was recommended to me when we first rescued my pittie, Maia, who was struggling with reactivity when people entered our home. He stepped in quickly, and she’s now doing fabulously. He did so well with her that I asked him to work with my Olde English Bulldog, Tucker. Tucker was undersocialized as a puppy, and by the time he came to live with me, he was so reactive to the outside world that walks were impossible. Cars, bikes, anything that moved would set him off. Tucker went through Matt’s four-week board-and-train program, and the results were incredible. We still have some work to do, and we already have follow-up sessions scheduled to help him feel even more confident outside. In all my years of rescuing, I’ve never had better-behaved dogs.
