Greg did such an incredible job with our pup! We did the 2 week board and train, and our girl came back with so many new skills. He's a straight up dog whisperer, it's amazing. Training is a 2-way street. Greg trains the pups, brings you back to learn how to keep training them, then at the end he gives you the skills you need to keep the training going back home. Our girl was so reactive and it made walks hard. Now walks are 1000% easier and she's so much more calm. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that has a pup in need of boarding, training, or both!

Highly recommend Greg at Mavis K9 Academy! We took our two dogs there for the two week board and train and are beyond impressed with the results. Not only did Greg advance the dogs' skills, but also gave us the training and information we need to continue their training at home. Along with getting daily video updates on how each dog's training was going, we were also able to ask questions and address concerns along the way. You won't regret training with Mavis K9 Academy!

We adopted a 1.5 year old shepherd mix from the animal shelter and brought her to Greg to help with leash walking, basic commands, and to improve overall confidence and trust between us and Josie. We did a few training sessions at his facility and were sent home with weekly homework to practice. We ended our training with a trip to Lowes were she was able to perform commands learned and was a much more confident dog in a public environment. We truly feel that training with Greg made all the difference for our dog! He truly cares about your dog and wants them to succeed. He broke everything down for us by giving us real life examples that made understanding our dogs way of thinking easier. Definitely recommend Mavis K9 Academy!!

I cannot thank Greg at Mavis K9 Academy enough for what he’s done for our dog, Rocco. We adopted Rocco from the Hendricks County Animal Shelter back in 2023. He is currently around 8 or 9 years old. While he was fine with the 13-year-old dog we had at the time and is the sweetest boy to humans, his leash aggression was a major hurdle. He would pull and act very aggressive toward other dogs, attempting to charge at them. I had no doubt he would try to attack if given the opportunity, which made walks a source of constant anxiety for me. ​After our senior dog passed, we knew we had to address Rocco’s training if we ever wanted to expand our family. As a volunteer at the shelter, I already knew Greg did incredible work. I remember seeing his social media videos and noticing how much calmer the entire kennel felt after the Saturdays he spent volunteering there. ​We brought Rocco in with goals to stop the aggression, improve his leash walking, and stop him from barging out of doors. I was blown away when, literally within two days, Greg sent a video of Rocco no longer charging at dogs. As the days progressed, it was so reassuring to see videos of him staying calm even when other dogs were in his personal space. I first noticed he was doing great with female dogs smaller than him, but the real 'wow' moment was seeing Greg walk him through Lowe’s next to a male Rottweiler double his size without a single issue. ​Rocco’s transformation is only half the story. Greg did a great job correcting my own behavior and helping me manage the anxiety I felt while walking him. While I’m not perfect yet, I now know the best ways to practice and I’m actually excited to do better. I’m also thrilled to take the skills I learned through this process back to the shelter to be a more effective volunteer. ​Thank you, Greg, for restoring our confidence in our boy!
