Mayday Dog Training

I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. I sent both of my dogs, Dozer and Diesel, for the 3-week board and train, and I can confidently say it was worth every single penny. I would do it again a thousand times over. Before training, life with two big, high-energy dogs could honestly be chaotic. They were constantly getting into tussles, always under my feet because “stay” was more of a suggestion than a command 😂, barking excessively, being pushy around food, pulling terribly on leash, ignoring recall, and generally being difficult to control when they got excited. We were also dealing with things like furniture chewing because getting them to settle down or redirect their energy wasn’t easy. The difference in them now is incredible. I can put them in place and actually go about what I’m doing around the house—even things that previously would have sent them into complete chaos—and they stay there. Their recall is excellent, their leash manners are night and day, and I can now confidently walk BOTH of them at the same time. The excessive backyard barking has stopped, the fighting has stopped, and they understand when it’s time to play and be their goofy, crazy selves and when it’s time to settle down. That was something that mattered so much to me. I didn’t want “robot dogs.” I love their silly, goofy personalities and never wanted training to take that away. They truly came home as two different dogs in the absolute best way possible. They are still completely Dozer and Diesel—they just have manners, boundaries, and structure now. There is so much more peace in our home without sacrificing any of the things I love about them. What impressed me just as much as the results was how individually they were trained. Dozer and Diesel are polar opposites. Dozer is happy-go-lucky, extremely food motivated, full of weird little quirks, and can be a complete bull in a china shop. Diesel is more timid and less food motivated, but he’s smart and definitely knows how to push boundaries. Instead of taking a one-size-fits-all approach, they took the time to actually get to know each dog’s personality and figure out what would allow each of them to be successful. You can genuinely tell how knowledgeable they are and, more importantly, how much they love dogs and want to help them become the best versions of themselves. The communication was amazing throughout the entire process. I received videos, watched their progress through social media, and never felt like I had just dropped my dogs off for three weeks and had no idea what was happening. At our transfer lesson, he had me film the entire thing so I would always have it to reference. He went through everything they learned, their commands, how and when to use them, how to properly use their e-collars, and how I needed to continue their training at home. The support didn’t end when I picked them up either. He has continued checking in to see how they’re transitioning and has always made himself available by text or phone if I have questions. That continued support has been invaluable. The second I saw Dozer and Diesel at the transfer lesson, I knew I had made the right decision. Seeing what they were capable of and realizing how much easier and more enjoyable everyday life with them was going to be made me realize immediately that this was 1000% worth it. I could seriously go on and on. If you’re on the fence about doing the board and train, DO IT. I would recommend him and his team a million times over. I trusted them with two dogs that mean the absolute world to me, and they gave me back the same happy, silly, goofy dogs I love—just with confidence, manners, boundaries, and an incredible foundation of training. Best investment I could have made for them AND for our household. ❤️🐾

The consensus is Richard is Belgian Shepherd mix. Dumped on my road in the country at about 3 months old. REALLY high energy, VERY pig headed, so I couldn't WAIT to get him in to Nick. Nice came highly recommended from a good friend who took their Aussie for training. Matilda's immaculate too. (Horrible name) Anyway, Nick said he was too young but I begged him to get in and he came out a different dog. So much more enjoyable. I gotta be honest, we'd probably have tried to find him a home if not for the training. Now we can't imagine life without Richard. Sit stays are a lock. If he's in full sprint after a wild animal on the farm, I can call him off with a voice command. Can't recommend Mayday enough.

They did an amazing job with my super reactive dog. I couldn’t be any happier. He spent 3 weeks at their facility and it’s the best investment I have made. I don’t regret it at all. Now I have a dog I can actually enjoy walking with and not be pulled around or barking at everything. He learned some tricks as well and nick was very helpful with explaining the training and answering all my questions. If I could give 10 stars I would.

We sent our rambunctious Doberman ducky to nick for training, and in just 2 weeks he was able to turn her from an anxious mess into a well behaved, calm and obedient dog. We went from chaos to calm in a short time. The results speak for themselves, but if you're wondering if its worth it, we were ready to rehome if this hail mary fell flat. Fortunately, the man worked a small miracle within the time-frame afforded and gave us an answer to our prayers.
