Mayday Dog Training

We adopted our dog as a puppy January of 2020....just before the pandemic hit. I have health issues that required me to isolate and then had an accident that put me in a wheel chair for 6+ months. Because of that our dog did not get well socialized or consistent training. He was a nervous pup from the start but as he got older he became more weary of strangers, unsure of himself and reactive. I tried a few trainers just prior to my accident, but soon realized he needed 1/1 intensive training. When we found Nick, I knew he was the right trainer that could really connect with our dog and help us. We enrolled him in the board and train program. Nick made an awesome connection with our dog. After spending several weeks training, he is soo much better. I can take him for walks and he can be around strangers without losing his mind. He listens to commands and he stays off my couches! The key is to always be consistent and always be training. Nick and his entire team have truly been a godsend! While Nick likely does not realize it, he gave me back a bit of the confidence I lost when I had my accident. If you are dealing with a dog that is reactive or lacks confidence, Nick can definitely help, but realize that YOU have to put in the work too. My dog mom life will never be the same… We have 5 dogs, 4 of them being rescues. Each one has their own quirks, but we found ourself searching for a professional trainer after one of our dogs had a reactive incident. Nick was recommended by our vet and I can absolutely see why. We did the 6 week program with Nick training Bleu once a week, and us practicing with him for the duration. I quickly learned as the dog owner, I was getting trained just as much as Bleu. He was extremely helpful with correcting Bleu’s behavior and mine as the handler. It’s been a life changing experience to receive the tools to help Bleu’s behavior (as it’s effected how we work with all of our dogs). Nick is all about working hard, staying consistent, and his years of training is evident. Their whole team is amazing, every dog owner should go train with the Mayday Team.

The entire staff and process at Mayday dog training was awesome. Don’t be fooled by how many larger dogs you see Nick train on social media . He was able to give my 4 lb Yorkie the tools, skills and confidence to focus on her behaviors and learning how to manage reactions and stress. We are thankful to have found Mayday and are happy with the results we got from our training sessions. 5 stars and very honest . I also felt my dog was managed and cared for at all times . Nick was in constant communication and sent updates regularly during the 3 week session our dog attended . Give them a try if you want the best !

Since acquiring my golden retriever at 8 weeks old I had difficulty with training her due to my confinement to a wheel chair. There was a constant fear of running over a leg or a foot while navigating near her. Since I needed help i contacted Nick at Mayday and scheduled her entrance into his program. After training with Nick the transition to performance in and around my chair was amazing. She was so easy for me to work with and walking by my chair was no longer an issue. If I drop anything she quickly retrieves it. I could not be happier with with Nick and his staff. They did an excellent job with my golden.
