Mayhem to Manners Dog Training

My wife and I hired Kelly to help with our 5 yr old Maltese who is a very fearful and reactive dog while walking and around other dogs. Walking him was so stressful and we were also avoiding situations that would have other dogs present. We were frustrated and knew we needed professional help with Louie. We did a Google search, reading up on many training companies, and chose Kelly to help us. Louie has just finished his training with Kelly and the change in him has been remarkable! He has gained confidence, and we have too, with Kelly’s guidance and expertise. Once your dog has completed its course with Kelly she offers free training get togethers so you and your dog can maintain the skills you have learned. My 4-year-old Brittany, Gus, just finished his 2 week training with Kelly and I couldn’t be happier! Gus has very strong hunting instincts which cause him to pull and lunge on leash when he sees a squirrel or gets on a scent. He has injured me twice while on walks from pulling so hard. My sister and a friend both had wonderful results with training their dogs with Kelly so I decided to see what magic she could work on Gus. Through sound training techniques (not magic) she transformed him into a responsive pooch that I can take on a walk without being afraid. Kelly also very patiently helped me learn how to continue to work with him at home. I give Kelly my highest recommendation, as does Gus!

We have a 5 year old Sheltie and a 11 month old sheltie/Pom mix. They are excessive barkers. Our Sheltie would watch commercials and bark at any kind of dogs or medical commercials. We could not get him to stop unless we changed the channel. When we would leave or return home they would bark excessively as well. When some one comes to the door or when some one would leave it would be the same way. Our 11 month was so scared to go for walks he would just sit down and didn’t want to move. When we go to feed our 11 month old he would get so aggressive and jump so high to try to knock the bowl out of our hands. We met with Kelly for an evaluation and we knew right away we needed her. She took our 5 year old and walked him around with no pulling or barking. It was amazing. We cannot say enough great things about Kelly. We went from complete chaos in our house to controlling our dogs. Kelly is so wonderful explaining every command and showing us how we should be interacting with our dogs. If you are looking for an amazing and compassionate trainer she is your girl. We can not thank you enough, Kelly. You are the best.

We adopted our girl, Luna, in September 2018 from a rescue in Illinois. She was a year old, and we learned later, had no training. She basically acted like a feral dog- she did not know her name, come when called or have any basic manners. She was reactive to other dogs and had a big problem with resource guarding. She snapped at us when we tried to take bones, and other hazardous things from her. She would run away without a look back as we called to her and tried to entice back her with treats. She lunged and barked at passing cars and jumped up on people. We were really ready to drive to Illinois and give her back! We enrolled in Mayhem to Manners WE Train program in April 2019- and saw immediate amazing, improvement. She learned so much in those two weeks as did we. She spent the days learning recall skills, self control, and manners. We also had evening lessons that matched what she was working on during the day so that we could continue the learning at home. After the two week intense training- we continued to learn in the Travel N Travel and Polishing classes. Now, in September 2019, we have a great dog, who comes when called, can run with us off leash, has strong house manners and does not guard resources. We are still working on her reaction to other dogs and are still getting plenty of great help from Mayhem to Manners on that! I would give our experience more than 5 stars if I could!
