Mecole's Mobile Dog School

Mecole's Mobile Dog School was recommended to us by a friend. We met with Christine for an initial consultation. During that meeting we discussed what our goals were, and she got a chance to see what she was going to be working with. We recently rescued a 1 year old pit mix from the shelter. It was obvious that our new dog had zero previous training. In fact I don't think she had even been taken on a walk before. She was a sweetheart at home but a wild girl out of the house. We had quite a bit of things we needed to work on. She would pull heavily on walks. When she would see another dog she would aggressively bark and lunge at them. If we came upon a squirrel or cat she would target focus so heavily that even her favorite treats couldn't distract her. It was a major effort just to get her to leave it. At home any time a door would open to the outside she would try to bolt out. She was quite the handful. Because of our dogs complete lack of training and our goals Christine recommended we sign up for 8 sessions. I have to say I am really glad we did. Each session was extremely productive. We were also expected to continue the training during the week to help reinforce what we worked on in the previous session. From the beginning Christine made it clear that our dogs success was dependent on us doing our part between sessions. Looking back to before first final session it has been a night and day difference. Our dog now walks with a loose leash and no pulling. She listens to our commands even when there are major distractions such as a cat. She sits and waits patiently when we go to open the door for a delivery or when a friend comes over. We have also been able to introduce her to other dogs. We are at the point where we can even gone on walks with other dogs without a fight breaking out. The best part is that Christine has given us more confidence as dog owners. I feel better equipped to handle and react to various situations, and also recognize potential problems before they even arise.

Mercole's Mobile Dog School is great. I have been struggling with my dog for a while now, she often pulls when walking on a leash. When I scheduled my first lesson what I thought was just "basic" dog walking turned into other behaviors that I didn't realize were causing the pulling as well. Mercole's taught my dog and I the tools to correct the problem so that walks are now enjoyable for my dog and I. So appreciative of their help.

Christine is amazing! She really knows dogs and offers a highly tailored, customized training experience for you and your dog. We adopted our 2.5 year old shepherd/cattle dog mix about 6 months ago and tried a few different training methods before finding Mecole's Mobile Dog School. After just 4 sessions, our scared, stubborn, moody, rule-breaking, high-energy dog has turned a corner! Christine not only taught our dog how to be more well behaved, but she taught ME a different way of interacting with our dog so that she listens and actually wants to learn. If you're thinking of getting a trainer, I can't recommend Christine more.

I cannot say enough good things about Mecole‘s Mobile Training! Christine is so incredibly knowledgeable on how to motivate dogs to behave and want to please you. A combination of corrective and rewarding training had my dog, who was very reactive around other dogs, able to walk by my neighbors dog without incident within one session. In the span of four sessions, I have a very obedient and calmer dog, who can relax and just enjoy her life! I highly recommend this company to anyone, willing to improve their dog’s life!

My dog Finn was attacked in a dog park and since then found the whole experience of going out traumatic. He would bark and Yelp the whole time and my other dog would join in. It became miserable for us all. However, Christine came into our lives and after only a few weeks the difference is amazing. My dogs are going on long walks happy and content and today was Finn's first socialization class. It was hearted to see him in a room with other dogs calm and happy.
