FirstBarkMia is an incredibly effective dog trainer - she worked so patiently with our extremely reactive and traumatized dog, eventually coaching him (and us!) into being able to have successful supervised socialization activities with other humans and dogs, bi-weekly ear cleanings, and even vet visits! Mia is such a great trainer! She really took the time to get to know my anxious and difficult dog, and taught both him and I methods to handle his behavior. Thanks to her, we can actually get through a vet appointment without sedation, which I did not think would be possible. I highly recommend Mia for anyone looking to understand dog behavior or for any training needs.

Mia is such an amazing dog trainer! She understands things about dogs that I never even thought about before. She's able to pinpoint little things that once you hear them out loud, your like, "why didn't I think of that!" Our dog is very shy and nervous around new people and within 5 minutes, he was all about Mia taking treats and listening to her commands. It's so difficult to have a reactive pup but Mia gave us really straightforward instructions on how to train him to be more confident and listen to us when it mattered most. We still have a lot of work to do with our dog, but meeting Mia was a godsend. Thanks Mia!

I asked Mia for help with a Pacific Pug Rescue dog that was having some behavioral issues. Mia graciously offered her time and expertise which helped get the pug on the path to being more confident, less anxious and better trained when dealing with stressful triggers/events. Mia is patient and gives very detailed information when working with dogs she trains. It was such a great help to us to utilize her services and the pug is now in a new forever foster home and doing very well!
