FirstBarkI highly recommend Katy to anyone looking for a dog trainer. My mini Goldendoodle had several behavior issues including pulling on leash and biting when someone approached his Kennel among others. Katy came to my house and within a couple lessons taught Maverick and I how to communicate and work together. I am forever grateful for Katy’s expertise and now have a well behaved dog.

Our experience at Meraki Dog Training was top notch. If I could give Katie 10 stars I would. Both her knowledge and customer service is excellent. We first spoke on the phone when the puppy was not yet home and she gave us an excellent list of resources to follow so we could prepare for and manage a puppy coming home. Once old enough we started in person classes. During these Katie taught our family how to train our dog with the correct tools and techniques. It was a lot of hard work but we trusted the process. We even went back to train on the Ecollar and off leash skills as well. In the early stages we also used Katie for some overnight boarding as well as some puppy day care days. All of Katie's advice and time was woth the investment for sure. Our Boxer Hazel is very well behaved, house trained and even can be trusted off leash. Hazel is also great with other dogs and kids. Plus she has a good basket of tricks. Katie also host a group dog walk monthly that are FUN and a great place to test the dogs skills.
Katy was amazing to work with! Our dog was stubborn and wasn’t the easiest to train. Katy changed all of that! Our dog is now well mannered, walks better on a leash, and has really grown to respond appropriately to our commands. The training has helped her become part of the family. I highly reccomend Meraki Dog Training for any of your dog training needs. Katy was excellent to work with and took the time to learn our challenges before the training started. She taught us how to train our dogs. The owner has to be committed to doing the work, but with the instructions and examples Katy gives in her sessions, it is easy to get to where you want your dog(s) to be. She schedules time between the training dates to allow the dog(s) to be ready to move on to the next step. And, as our dog (an overly excited and hyper dal mix) would tell you, the best part is that Katy schedules monthly pack walks. This where current and former clients can get together to go on a walk and continue to learn from Katy and each other.

It is so heartwarming to see dogs that really struggled ,be able to join the pack with ease knowing she is providing a safe and comfortable environment.
