My puppy and I just finished basic training classes with MeritDog. I have not had a puppy before and she helped my dog learn what he needed to learn, but she also taught me what I could improve on too. I’m very happy with his progress! Classes were conveniently scheduled around my work schedule. I boarded him and am very happy he didn’t spend the week in a kennel. The dogs have a huge green space to play in addition to their run. Merit truly cares for these dogs and it shows in her training techniques. I would highly recommend her classes.

Merit and her team are all excellent! They cared for our two Texas Blue Lacy dogs as if they were their own. Merit is patient and fully listens to the owners and their dog's needs. My dogs, River and Skye love being boarded at her facility too. Merit trained both of our dogs and it wasn't easy because they are high energy! The training was exceptional, and I appreciate the peace of mind that I have now knowing my dogs listen to commands now. It is also great to be able to get away on vacation and know that she is taking care of my babies as we do. If I ever move out of state I will drive back and use her services when gone on vacation, I trust her care that much!

I highly recommend the Puppy Basics class. It was the best decision ever and provided a solid foundation for my rescue puppy. We continued our training through the next two levels and it was money and time well spent. Merit is a natural teacher and really understands both dogs and their owners which allows her to present concepts and techniques effectively. I have also boarded my dog there and he absolutely loved it.

We had an extremely favorable experience with training our dog with Merit Dog Training. Merit is extremely patient, and proficient at her training abilities. We gave her a pretty good challenge. Our dog Belle came to her at 18 months old. We adopted her through Lab Rescue OK at 1 yr. She had been in foster care for 5 months with 3 very well socialized dogs, but prior to that she, her Mom and her 5 litter mates had little human contact, were left out side and saw someone only to be fed. She was pretty wild upon adoption and had very few manners. At nearly 70 lbs we needed to make some changes quickly. Over the course of 8 weeks we transitioned from not being able to use any kind of leash to leash walking reasonably well, following commands, improved our ability to deal with her separation anxiety, and over all a better Mom-Dad-Belle relationship. We are so pleased to have discovered Merit Dog Training. We have also utilized the boarding services, which we will be using again soon and the Doggie Day Out program. One of the most useful parts of the training we received were the written follow up notes that Merit sends each week following the class. These were helpful in going back over the details during our homework with Belle. We would happily and honestly recommend this trainer to all our friends with dogs.
