About Michael's Angel Paws
Michael’s Angel Paws is a Nevada tax-exempt, IRS-appr 501c3 not-for-profit organization that was inaugurated in October 2012. At our core and as of January 2021; we have graduated over 125 Assistance dogs, with over 70 Assistant dogs in training currently. Our Therapy Teams have over 250 members that are committed to helping our communities feel better and or navigate through difficult times with the help of our loving pups. Furthermore, we have coached over 5,000 dogs and helped them safely become happy, healthy, and well-trained companion dogs for families all over the Las Vegas Valley and beyond. Many of these teams have gone on to compete in agility, obedience, rally, one of our biggest joys is giving back to community.

We offer guidance, acquisition, training, education, and certification of assistance dog teams through our organization. We offer 3 different options for applicants and avenues to match a dog with our expert Canine Coaches and Curriculums.

Hello! Our group classes currently cost $195.00. Training includes five one-hour sessions once a week.

How do you become Therapy Dog certified?
The training journey is different for every dog. To become a part of the Michael's Angel Paws Therapy Dog Family, you must pass the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Test and the Michael's Angel Paws Therapy Dog Class. Once you have passed the Therapy Dog class and test, you can enroll in the Therapy Dog Program.

What’s the difference between an Emotional Support Animal, a Therapy Dog, and a Service Dog?
Therapy Dogs and their companions are a dynamic duo trained to spread joy and healing through their special bond and interaction with people. These furry therapists, often the beloved pets of their companions, join them on their visits to various locations. While Therapy Dogs aren't granted public access by default, they can work their magic once they receive prior authorization and help others pawsitively everyday. Service animals are dogs individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Under the American Disabilities Act, State and local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that serve the public generally must allow Service Animals to accompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is allowed to go. (www.ada.gov) Emotional support animals are defined as a dog’s mere presence providing comfort to an individual. Emotional support animals are not specifically trained to mitigate a disability.

One of the best training programs!!! We’ve taken two dogs to their training classes and they are fabulous!!! Very hands on and knowledgeable and gives you really great instruction!!! I highly recommend them for all dog ages and stages!!!

Our dog, Cosmo, has spent the past few months completing the therapy dog program at Michael’s Angel Paws. We began with a group beginner training course, continued with private advanced obedience sessions, and concluded with the group therapy dog class. Our trainer, Fabi, is an exceptional instructor for both dogs and their handlers. Under her guidance, Cosmo made tremendous progress and successfully passed his therapy dog evaluation, thanks to his hard work and consistent training. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Michael’s Angel Paws by participating in events where therapy dogs can make a positive impact and by bringing Cosmo to schools to share his calm and friendly presence.
