Jim was fantastic with our German Shepherd, Leo. He was communicative, attentive, and made sure all of our needs were met throughout the training process. What really stood out was how thoroughly he explained the reasoning behind each technique and how it would benefit our dog. Even after training was completed, Jim continued to be available to answer questions and help reinforce any areas that needed additional work. His knowledge and expertise are exceptional, and he has a great way of explaining things in a way that’s easy to understand. We highly recommend Jim to anyone looking for a skilled, dedicated, and supportive dog trainer.

Jim is a great trainer. It is unusual for a male dog trainer to not have a big ego in my experience running a dog rescue for 11 years. Jim is very down to earth, kind, and really loves dogs, especially the breed we rescue. He has a balanced training approach which is not heavily regimented and is based on helping you form a connection with your dog and really engage them thus developing your relationship. Very importantly Jim really wants to contribute to rescue dogs living better lives and being successful in their adoptive homes. He feels this is his purpose and it is very apparent in his work. I highly recommend Micky's House and cant thank Jim enough!

I’m amazed at the improvement we are seeing in both dogs in just 2 weeks. We have a three year old male who went from low confidence to high confidence and happy and eager to please. We also have a 9 year old female who was in constant stress trying to figure everything out in her own to looking to us for guidance so she can relax. She has so much more confidence. She was also never able to stay when we put her on her “place” she now will stay up to 30 mins in a high traffic distracting area! She also had some reactivity and dog aggression. I sat with her this morning in the front yard and 2 dogs walked by, she stayed in place and just watched them! No lunging, no getting up, just chill. We still have a ways to go but I’m so happy with the results. Jim sent us daily texts with pics and videos, which I loved, he brought them home at 2 weeks and did a proper hand off. He stayed until we had no more question, and didn’t make us feel rushed. He has been so informative and helpful! I asked a lot of questions from before we hired him to during and even now after. He is responsive, patient, and extremely helpful and knowledgeable! I am so glad we trusted Jim to train our dogs and us!

If you’re thinking of hiring a trainer for your dog, I can’t recommend Jim enough! Our one year old lab was a maniac - endless energy, terrible listening skills, jumping, leash pulling, you name it. After just one session with Jim, our dog was much more focused and calm, which we learned comes from clarity and consistency from us! Turned out we needed the training as much as our dog. :) Jim is so patient, non-judgmental, and clearly loves dogs. Our dog loves him and we are customers for life!
