Mid Coast Dog Training

Hannah is spectacular! Back in November 2019 our family welcomed a new mini-labradoodle puppy, who we named Willow. At the young age of 9 months we were struggling with house training and was seeking some professional guidance and that’s when we found Hannah. She came to our house for a private visit and Hannah quickly identified there was more going on with Willow then just potty training. Let’s just say Willow ruled the house and while we thought we had control, we learned very quickly that was not the case. After our private visit we decided that it would be best to board Willow for a couple of weeks so Hannah could spend targeted one-on-one time, which included potty training, separation anxiety, socializing with other dogs, walking off lease and a variety of recall commands, just to name a few. While it was hard having her away we knew she was with the perfect person. Hannah sent us multiple texts, videos and pictures every day giving us updates on her progress. Willow was having so much fun and made so many new friends! Since She has been home we refer to her as Willow 2.0. She came back an even sweeter puppy then she left but understands that she is the “bottom of the pack” (as Hannah would say). She is now a really cool little sister to her older brother Rondo. There are truly not enough words to describe how Hannah helped us as her owners. Hannah gives you all the tools but as owners you must continue to put in the work, which we’ve done and its so rewarding! What Hannah has to offer is best in class, she is worth every penny and more.

Hannah is the best! She trained our energetic Golden-Doodle (Moose) to be a well mannered dog. When working with Hannah it is obvious that she is passionate, knowledgeable and experienced. We genuinely appreciated Hannah's love of animals and her unwavering commitment to seeing her (successful) process through to the end. We proudly recommend her to the entire world! A truly wonderful person and incredible dog trainer!!!!!

Hannah is incredibly talented with dogs. She provides clear instruction for them and for their humans. Hannah helped us immensely when we rescued our high energy puppy. She worked with our dog to learn her personality and then instructed us on how to do the continued training with our dog. When we first started working with Hannah, our dog had a mind of her own. She was easily excited around other dogs, stole food from EVERYONE, and would run off whenever she felt like it. Hannah helped us teach our dog to listen and be attentive. Through Hannah's teaching we learned how to teach a dog who was out of control to be calm when meeting other dogs, respect boundaries (and counter space), and come when called. Our dog is now trained to the point where she comes to work with me and hikes off leash with us regularly. Watching Hannah work is impressive and I'm so grateful for the guidance she's given us. I must hear her voice in my head at least once a day when I'm with my dog.

When I met Hannah, my hound mix Alma was two and a half and had been getting increasingly leash aggressive and anxious/aggressive when meeting other dogs to the point where we were nervous to let her meet other dogs. Hannah assessed Alma's social skills by having her around her dog and a friend's dog and then taking them to a nearby dog park. By the end of the afternoon she had Alma completely settled as one of the "pack" and assured me that Alma completely knew how to interact and play with other dogs. She gave me a number of helpful pointers and things to work on with Alma - but most importantly the confidence/reassurance of knowing that my dog could totally handle social situations and with some work (and plenty of exercise) be well behaved. Since our session with Hannah, Alma's quality of life has greatly improved as she has been able to go on pack walks, play in the dog park, go on off leash hikes, etc. I highly recommend working with Hannah if you get the chance!
