I really do not recommend this facility, especially for anyone considering leaving a young puppy here. I’m currently exploring daycare options for my puppy, and this was the second facility I tried. From the beginning, I had a bad feeling about the experience. I asked to see where my puppy would actually be staying and was shown a kennel in the corner of a carpeted room. The carpet was visibly stained and there were pieces of trash/debris on the floor. I was told they would clean the area before putting him in there. Against my better judgment, I decided to give them a chance because of the positive reviews. While I was at work, I learned that the business had recently changed ownership. That made me more uneasy because I had been relying partly on the existing reviews when deciding whether I trusted the facility. Since this was my puppy’s first time there, I decided to call and check on him. My call went straight to voicemail. I tried again. Over approximately the next hour, I repeatedly tried to reach someone and could not get through. As a first-time puppy owner who had just left an 11-week-old puppy with a new daycare, being completely unable to contact the facility was extremely concerning. Eventually, I left work and drove there to pick him up. When I arrived, I was told that the facility itself did not have a phone and that the phone was being handled by someone associated with their other location who may have been in a meeting. I also noticed that the debris I had seen on the floor earlier was still there. I was upset, but initially decided I simply wouldn’t return rather than leave a negative review. What changed my mind was the follow-up. Amanda called me the next day and explained that they had followed their protocols, that puppies are kept more secluded during their first visits, and that the missed calls were because one phone was being used for two locations while she was in a meeting. I called her back hoping to have a productive conversation about my concerns. Instead, I left that conversation feeling like my concerns were being defended against rather than actually heard. My issue wasn’t simply whether they believed they had followed their internal protocols. My issue was that I had left a very young puppy in their care, couldn’t reach anyone for roughly an hour despite repeated attempts, had concerns about the cleanliness of the area I was shown, and did not feel reassured by how the situation was handled afterward. I also noticed a significant change in my puppy’s temperament after bringing him home that evening and into the following day. I cannot say what caused that change, and puppies can obviously have difficult days, but given the rest of my experience, it added to my concern. Maybe other people have had good experiences here, but I personally did not feel comfortable or confident leaving my puppy in their care. For me, the combination of the cleanliness concerns, inability to contact the facility while my puppy was there, and the way my concerns were handled afterward was enough that I will not be returning.
