FirstBarkLearned some really good tools to use with my dogs. My dogs are both pandemic puppies and we needed help to assimilate into society. We learned techniques to use to help get us out there safely! They both just love their teacher Joshua.

About Mindful Training
Mindful Training is a dog training service based around teaching the pet parents how to be a mindful dog trainer for their own dog. We teach you basic obedience, troubleshoot any difficult behaviors, and practice with you all along the way. We also include daily training notes so you can refer back to our sessions at any point. We begin our service with a consultation at your residence (or remotely via webcam). The consult usually lasts 30min-1hr. The consult is used to discuss your goals, concerns, and answer all of your training and behavior questions. We then briefly discuss our modality, "how" we train. Lastly we discuss our logistics of service. If you decide our service is appropriate for you we can schedule a training session.

Mindful Training is an amazing service at an excellent price! Joshua was beyond patient and so helpful! I was referred to Mindful Training by my vet. After 2 years in quarantine and working from home my doggo, Moose, began to pick up weird triggers and I was at a loss on how to curb the behavior; it seemed to be getting worse month after month. I was hesitant to put him back in training as we’ve tried many times, and I wasn’t sure how an 11 year old dog would take to the training. I’m so happy I decided to give Mindful Training a try! In just 4 session, Moose has gotten a lot calmer, we’ve picked up new techniques for curbing training, and Joshua’s notes and recommendations after each session have been so helpful in continuing the training with Moose in my free time. 1000% recommend Mindful Training! 11/10.

I went to Mindful Training to get some help with my leash-reactive dog. They were the most affordable one-on-one training I could find, but the quality of service is fantastic! Toni is so positive and my dog responded very well to her training style. She was always very prompt with communication and took the time to send thorough notes after each training session to help me remember what we went over. I’m very happy with the progress we made over just a few sessions and would definitely recommend Mindful Training to any dog owner in need of training.
