Minnesota Canine Consulting was great for my reactive german shepherd, Bandit. They came to the house to assess him and then worked with me to come up with the best plan for him that was doable for my family. I could tell they just wanted me to get the most out of this experience without trying to make me pay for something I didn't need. We ended up with the 3 week boot camp and we got updates every week. The videos they sent seemed like it couldn't possibly be our dog listening so well! He also looked really happy in the videos which was great to see since we missed him so much. Bandit is doing great now. We went on a walk in downtown Lakeville a few days after he got home and someone said "wow what a well behaved dog!" which is something we had never heard before. A few weeks later we walked through a very crowded area with him and a little girl asked to pet him which Bandit was totally happy with and that NEVER used to happen. I always told people no when they asked to pet him and I would never have brought him through a crowd like that. He didn't even seem stressed. We still have things to work on and we have to do training at home to reinforce what he learned, but MCC was upfront about that in the beginning so we knew we would be doing work too. We haven't been great about doing the training at home but whenever we do actually do it, it does make a noticeable difference. We had a baby recently so we are getting a lot of visitors which is the main issue we have and MCC has made that so much less stressful because we can control Bandit and I know no one is going to be unsafe in my home when they come to visit the babe!

We enrolled our seven-month-old Aussie Coonhound in the five-week training program at MCC, and we cannot praise Ross and the rest of the team enough for the instruction they provided to both our dog and us. Their positive reinforcement program is exceptional. Furthermore, the staff who care for the dogs during evenings and weekends are truly outstanding. We have even started bringing her to daycare occasionally because she simply loves being there.

Our experience with Minnesota Canine Consulting was top notch. We signed up for the two month Boot Camp. It was well worth the money. Our very large great Pyrenees, Angel came back to us with amazing skills and self-control. With a little extra coaching I was able to continue with her training at home. She’s become an amazing house dog. She still gets plenty of outside time, but she minds her manners well indoors. Thanks to Ross and the whole team. We tell everyone about MCC! This is a great place for board and training your dog. Just training in general! They have been super helpful and knowledgeable about working with my bloodhound. I saw immediate improvement with her after her time with them and they did great to follow up/do an in home visit after! Also, the women that took care of her while boarding, were so sweet and took great care of my girl! Definitely recommend!!

Our trainer, Ross, was amazing! Great communication, flexible schedule and wonderful results. We did in-home sessions and throughout the whole process I felt as though everything was explained to me in depth to help me better understand the process. The training we focused on was done at a good pace for both my dog and myself, it is based on positive reinforcement and hands on techniques and observations. I am very happy we chose MN Canine Consulting and will continue to recommend them.
