I would like to train at least one of my dogs to be a support or therapy dog. I have three I consider trainable and sweet enough to do the job, but would need more training. What do you suggest?
I would suggest scheduling a meeting to meet the dogs and discuss your options. It can get complicated and there’s a lot to consider when training a therapy dog. The trainers at MCC are amazing and great to work with. We did the Board & Train package, and they took great care of my dog. When it was time for me to join in on the fun, they took great care of me. They were kind, patient, and supportive. And did I mention patient? I never have felt so confident in learning skills that will shape my dogs future and my whole households future. I 100% recommend using MCC for all your training needs, including the new classes they are doing if you can't do board & train.

We recently brought our 8 month old Lab Huddie here for the 3 week behavior mod. Boot camp. We are overly excited about how well things went and how the behavior we were struggling with has been corrected and so much more.

If you are looking for dog training, look no further. Professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The weekly video updates are an awesome touch and you can see how quickly your dog progresses throughout the training. Wish we would have know about MCC for our first dog. Chewy gives them 2 paws up!

While I missed my dog very much for 5 weeks, the results I got have been amazing and well worth the time spent away. Before he caused a lot of stress and I could hardly walk him by myself. He had selective listening skills and was always chasing my cat. Now, I can take him anywhere and his behavior is amazing. He listens to his commands and responds accordingly. If he was a door dasher before and when the front door was open he was off. Now, i put him in a Sit/Stay and door can open and he isn't skirting out the door. He also chased our poor cat all the time. Now a simple No / Leave it command and he isn't chasing the cat. He is just really well behaved now! I want to thank Minnesota Canine Consulting! Since Ford has been home life with him has been really less stressful overall!

If you are looking at this place don't hesitate a second more. We needed some help with off leash and reactivity for our dog. He had some fundamental manners and training but definetely needed some professional help for these issues. He spent a month in boot camp and came back as a well trained machine. I mean he was no where near being able to be let out without a leash in the yard(we have no fence at our new place). When he came back he would stay near us and when he went out a bit to play or whatever he would come right back when called. I had worked on this with him for many MONTHS before and got nowhere. He will leave things now that he would lunge after before. He is a sweet dog and is now living his best life because of these amazing trainers(he was a rescue so not sure what life he came from). They are able to get to know your dog and how they respond and what they need to succeed. And then pass this on to you so you can use going forward. They are amazing and know their dogs. 🐕🐶
