Miracle K9 Training

We sent our Shiba Inu puppy, Kiko, to the 4-week board and train program at Miracle K9. The results have been incredible! We were so worried that our pup wasn't going to change due to the stubborn nature of his breed and our delay in getting him into training. Still, we were at the end of our rope and had to try something. Kiko was very anxious and reactive. He pulled on the leash, barked and lunged at other dogs, resource guarded from our other dog, chewed everything in the house, terrorized our cats, and eventually started nipping at our children and our guests. I thought we were going to have to re-home him, but we decided to try this first and I am so glad we did. This program is worth every penny. David was very responsive and answered all of our questions. We have learned so much throughout this entire process. Everyone in our home is much more relaxed. Kiko has been home for almost 3 months now and we have not had any major issues. Keeping up with the training was so much easier than I expected. It does require work and consistency, but the whole process has gone smoothly. Our last follow-up session was held at Crocker Park and Kiko did amazing. I would have never thought in a million years that I could take Kiko in public. We are so grateful for this program and the transformation that resulted.

I adopted my dog, Autumn, back in September. She is a great dog, but required more help than I was able to provide. I decided to enroll her in the 4 week board and train program and she is definitely a new dog since the training. She listens better and doesn’t pull on her leash like she used to. She was able to learn a lot of new skills that have been so helpful. I am very grateful to everyone at K9 Miracle.

We started working with Michelle at Miracle K9 after a series of failed training attempts with our mini bernedoodle, who was 1 at the time. He was extremely anxious in any setting other than our home and began to develop fear aggression at the groomer and vet. We felt like we had our backs against the wall after trying everything we could to help him including our own attempts at training/socialization, medication, and other trainers. We chose do to the 10 session behavior modification package, and from day one we knew we made the right choice! Michelle was professional, calm, and handled our pup so well. Each session was tailored to our needs and we left with clear and doable homework to practice for the week. She made the sessions enjoyable and we would look forward to each week and the changes we would see in our dog! He is now living a much more confident and peaceful life, and we are no longer an anxious mess taking him to the vet, groomer, or any other social setting. Last week I attended the week-long shadow program at Miracle K9 Training, and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone interested in learning more about dog training, boarding, or daycare. I have been training dogs professionally since 2021 and have attended many different shadow programs, and I can confidently say this was by far the most informative experience I’ve had. From the minute I arrived, David and his entire staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I felt comfortable right away, and everyone was genuinely happy to answer questions and explain not just what they do, but why they do it. Throughout the week, I was able to see the full day-to-day operations of the facility. I observed training sessions, lessons with owners, dog socialization groups, phone calls with owners, and so much more. I also had the opportunity to travel with David to in-home sessions, which was an invaluable learning experience. Seeing him work hands-on with dogs in their home environment, especially in more complex behavior cases, added a whole new layer of understanding. One of the biggest takeaways for me was how they approach aggression cases. There is no cookie-cutter method here. Every dog is evaluated as an individual, and training plans are adjusted based on that dog’s specific needs, temperament, and history. Watching the rehab process in real time really reinforced how important it is to remain flexible and creative as a trainer. What really impressed me overall was how much David and the staff truly care about both the dogs and their owners. Their focus on communication, follow-ups, and setting dogs up for long-term success is refreshing and something every trainer should strive for. I would highly recommend this shadow program to any current or aspiring dog trainer who wants real education, hands-on experience, and insight into running a successful operation.
