We searched a few places to take a reactivity class, and came across calming chaos. After researching the class a bit, I thought it would have been a perfect fit for my dog Sydney, who is on leash reactive. She lunges, pulls, and barks at other dogs. We were sooo excited to start, but the coronavirus has other plans. Jo, the owner, was so attentive and informative and made sure to keep us updated on the class being postponed. During quarantine, Jo offered online classes, so we though that would be a good way to gain new skills, and work on current ones while staying home. This option was a pleasant surprise for my dog, who often struggles with focus especially with other dogs around. We were able to work on perfecting a lot of our skills and tricks, which really helped with the calming chaos class. Finally when the time came to start the calming chaos class, I felt we were ready! Jo had so much knowledge when it came to training, dog psychology, and even dog body language! She was able to help us, and give us the tools to use on a every day “real” basis with things such as walking past other dogs, seeing dogs in the park, and any “surprise” encounters. We are looking forward to taking more online classes as well as some in person nose work classes. We couldn’t recommend this class more!! If you’re looking for any sort of training visit Jo at Mischief Managed!
