Miss Daisy's Dog Camp

We brought home a puppy for our boys and realized very quickly that we were in over our heads. Miss Daisy’s Dog Camp is a LIFESAVER. Debbie Oliver, the Owner, is highly skilled and extremely intuitive to both the dog and the owner. Using positive reinforcement methods for training, she is PROOF that it works and for us, is a much better alternative to traditional methods that use punishment or physically coercing a dog into desired behaviors. Most of those methods come from dominance theory and wolf pack theory, both of which have been proven incorrect by modern science. She is a wealth of knowledge and would be a huge help with any family thinking about getting a dog. From preparing the person and home for the arrival of a new dog to join the family, to training in the first few years and even beyond, she is truly a treasure. Before getting a new dog, I highly recommend seeking counsel from Debbie. While all dogs are a huge responsibility and require lots of time and attention to train, Debbie can be a tremendous help in advising on a breed best suited to each person’s lifestyle. We have learned so much from Debbie and look forward to learning more!!!
