MK9 Dog Training & Boarding

This was a pivotal year for my dog. I have a six year old, 115 lb Great Pyrenees Labrador mix who is mostly a gentle giant, BUT has some major behavioral triggers (crows, mopeds, coyotes, to name a few). Triggers that when he is set off can cause broken fingers (yep, true story) or pull me over and drag me across the grass (yep, another true story). I had to do something to learn how to diffuse his triggers otherwise I wouldn't be able to keep him. Enter Custom-K9 ---- Jeff and Marwa are experts. I signed my dog up for a Board and Train session to give him focused, consistent training time with the Custom-K9 team. Since the session I regularly attend Dog Training sessions so I can become educated on how to handle and navigate through the triggers. And it's working! If your dog has any behavioral issues, needs basic training (sit, stay, heal, etc.) or just needs to be socialized with other dogs, Custom-K9 is the place to go. The entire staff is great and really rounds out my recommendation. Their facility is one of the best I have seen with regards to both day drop off dog socialization/training/care and overnight boarding. With webcams on all the dog areas, you can check up on your pup any time. Jeff is a highly regarded, established dog trainer. He's trained police/combat dogs and knows how to gain the respect of any dog that he is presented with. You will not find a more passionate team than Jeff and Marwa. Custom-K9 is the best of the best!

The staff here are great! Very friendly and professional. Both my my frenchies, Nova did the day training and she loved it. Then I decided to put both my frenchies, Nova and Zaza into the night boarding, and I felt at ease. The staff always kept me updated and sent photos while my dogs were there, they are very responsive whenever I reach out to them to check on the dogs, and so I was not worried about them because I trust the staff. I will be continuing to bring my dogs here. And I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Custom-K9 Dog Training & Boarding!

My dog Lychee significantly improved from the start to completion of her program. Before we brought her in, she was leash reactive, often too excited, and not listening. It was embarrassing whenever we saw other dogs walking their dogs while mine pulled and barked. I grew anxious, and didn't know how to handle her at those times. We brought her to Custom K-9 and even just one consultation made an improvement. The staff were extremely patient and had knowledgeable tactics to really give Lychee a boost of confidence and the opportunity to thrive. The group and private trainings further transitioned the curriculum at the facility to the home setting, where my husband and I were able to continue Lychee's training with new knowledge and understanding. Upon course completion, Lychee made a significant stride in remaining calm, ignoring other dogs, able to confront large dogs given proper distance, and listen to us! Although she still has times of reactivity and excitement, we as her humans also gained the tools and resources to help guide her in those times to remain calm and collective. Marwa was so patient with our dog Minnie. She had a terrible anxiety. I took Marwa's 6 days of special daycare training package and one private lesson. That's all it took, my dog who was scared of everyone was putty in her hands. I saw results instantly, watching her work with Minnie was like nothing I've seen before. It was as if she was having a real conversion with our dog and she really understood her, it was worth every penny.
