At MLK9 Dog Training, we start by teaching parents how to communicate with their pets using clear commands and rewarding good behavior. Our training methods are based on the science of learning theory and modern, humane dog training techniques. We use positive reinforcement as our primary method of increasing your dog's motivation to learn and to behave in a way that you like better than before. We also use "reward-based punishment," which means that if your dog does something wrong that you don't want him to do, you don't punish him , instead, you simply remove the reward for a short period until he learns not to do it anymore. THIS highly trained, compassionate, patient and dedicated dog trainer (whisperer) has given our dog and our family, the training and skills that will bring us joy and harmony for a lifetime! Andy will gently and kindly train your dog and coach you. YOU will be able to reinforce and continue the practices taught! Dogs are like children. They don’t know how to act until they are taught! And sometimes adults don’t know how to teach until they are shown. Andy is the whole package. I don’t normally write reviews, but this one is the real deal.

We are super happy with the training our dog received with Andy! He was super helpful and professional throught the whole process. We did the 3 week training course, and in just a few sessions, from the videos we got, we could see the amount of progress our dog had made already made! We boarded our 4 month old puppy with Andy for 10 days while we were on vacation. We did not want our trip to interfere with the progress we were making with potty training and crate training. We felt great knowing he was in good hands. Andy communicated well before and during training. Trooper was very happy in the videos we received. We would highly recommend Andy and his program.

We can’t thank Andy and Carrie enough for all the hard work they put into training your sweet girl Aiyla. Aiyla was quite a handful when we got her. She was pulling us on walks, jumping on everyone, counter surfing , barking at us when food was present and worst of all running away. We chose the six week off leash training as we want her to be able to live her best life and enjoy our property without the constraints of a leash. Aiyla has come home and is still her sweet self but with manners. They do a wonderful job communicating with you throughout the process and send you videos weekly to see the progress being made. Most importantly, they did a good job training us on how to use the commands so her behavior stays consistent. We absolutely recommend MLK9 for your dog training needs. Please feel confident in trusting them with your dog.
