I just got a Germen shepherd puppy once he gets a bit older I’m looking to put him in puppy school I was wondering what age can we bring him in?
Hi there! All of Modern Day Dog Training's services are in- home, the trainer comes to you and works with you and your dog one on one. I suggest starting puppy training as soon as possible for socialization purposes as well as to prevent unwanted behaviors from developing. Puppies are never too young to start learning! We have a golden retriever puppy and wanted to get training while he was young to instill good habits early. After talking with Brittanie and reading reviews we knew we had made the right choice.
It wasn’t easy dropping of our little pup who we were going to miss terribly, but we knew he was in the right hands and with the constant videos she would send of them training and the text updates it made us feel part of the process even though we weren’t there. We have been extremely impressed with her professionalism and how well our puppy has done with training.
I definitely recommend Brittanie and will be referring her to all my friends snd family.

This review is long overdue. Over the summer, my family adopted Thor, an 18-month-old Belgian Malinois who came with a lot of baggage (being abandoned on the side of a freeway, to name one). The first day home went smoothly, but by day two he became so skittish around my husband that he wouldn’t go near him and even growled. About a week later, he suddenly lunged at my father during a visit and went right for his face. From there, his reactivity increased—barking at planes, lunging at cars on walks, and becoming overwhelmed by other dogs.
I knew this was beyond my expertise, so I reached out to Modern Day Dog Training for in-home sessions and was able to get on the schedule quickly. Thor was not a fan of having to do work, but Brittanie provided loads of practical advice we still use today. She was patient, gracious, and took the time to truly understand us and Thor’s story.
I highly recommend Modern Day Dog Training!

Brittanie gave us tools we needed to not only train our dogs, but also relate to them better. Both our dogs improved so much across each session!
