One of the greatest rewards of what we do is seeing the relationship between a dog and their owner change when training gives them more freedom, confidence, and a better understanding of each other. Knowing that Apollo’s foundation has allowed you to enjoy adventures together, trust him in new environments, and give him the off-leash freedom you always wanted is exactly why we do what we do. And watching him find his place in bite work has been just as rewarding! Apollo clearly loves having a job, and it has been incredible to see his drive develop over the past year. We know that PSA and personal protection are big goals, and we're excited to continue being part of that journey. Gator has absolutely loved working with Apollo from day one, and we know that friendship goes both ways. Apollo lighting up when he walks through the doors is one of the best compliments our team could receive. We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your experience. We also apologize that we did not clearly communicate the importance of owner participation in a way that you fully understood. A critical part of our training program is the personalized, private lessons. These one-on-one lessons are designed to teach the owner how to continue the training at home. They cover proper handling, commands, timing, communication, and the appropriate use of any training equipment. Unfortunately, there was limited participation during your go-home lesson, which made it difficult for our trainer to teach you how to successfully continue the training at home. Dogs do not automatically transfer what they have learned with a professional trainer to their owner. Owner participation and consistency are an important part of that transition. We recognize that we should have done a better job of communicating just how important that participation was from the beginning. We take the welfare of every dog in our care very seriously and strongly disagree with the suggestion that your dog was mistreated or that training equipment was used inappropriately. Our intention was never to blame you. When your trainer became aware of your concerns, he called you back and asked if you and your parents would come in so he could provide a proper go-home lesson. He wanted the opportunity to work with everyone directly, address your concerns, and make sure you understood how to communicate with and handle your dog so the training could successfully carry over at home. With that said, we understand that you are disappointed with your experience, and we will be issuing a refund of $800. While we stand behind the care and training provided by our staff, we feel this is the appropriate way to bring this matter to a resolution. We regret that we were not given the opportunity to work through these concerns together and wish you and your dog the best moving forward.

At 8 months old, there can be a lot to navigate, so we’re especially glad we could give you the tools and confidence to continue building on her training at home. Our goal has always been to train the dog AND teach the owner, so hearing that our trainers took the time to explain everything, work alongside you, and help build your skillset means so much to us. Your success after the program is just as important to us as the work we do while your dog is here. And we absolutely love that you’ve continued coming back for additional skills classes and are now taking on agility! Watching dogs and their owners continue learning and growing together is one of our favorite parts of what we do. Most importantly, we love hearing that your dogs are excited to see our team.
