At Mr. Dog Training I want you and your dog(s) to reach their full potential. One of the most effective ways of doing this is learning how to properly communicate with your canine companion and learning to listen to them. When pets and people aren’t speaking the same language, it can be frustrating. Just like with any good relationship, communication is key!
I believe training should be fun, for both you and your dog, and that training with your dog should help create a strong, lasting relationship built on respect and trust. I take pride in providing a safe, fun, and compassionate environment to learn in.

I am bringing home a creme golden retriever on Sept 3. He will be 9 weeks. When shud i start his obedience training at your facility. Is it s once s week class? I dont work so reinforcement can be done between classes. thank you Jane B.

I offer a free drop in Puppy Preschool every Saturday morning from 10-10:30am for pups age 8-16 weeks. Puppies must have had their first round of distemper/parvo vaccine and been in your home at least 10 days prior to coming to class. As soon as your puppy meets these requirements then you are welcome to come!
When you come to Puppy Preschool you'll want to bring your puppy wearing a leash and a portion of high value food (cheese, boiled chicken, hot dogs, boiled egg, or sliced turkey) to use as rewards.

Love Mr dog training! We have taken puppy 101, basic obedience, and are in tricks class now we also are signed up for more classes. Sara is amazing at explaining everything clearly, making sure everyone gets answers to their questions, and just keeping a fun and safe learning environment. I love that she sends “homework” that reviews what we did in class to help throughout the week. Her videos are so worth checking out! I have purchased a few and they are great refreshers. I was a little unsure about dog training via zoom at first but I actually love it!!! I feel like I get more out of it than the in-person classes I have taken in the past elsewhere. One of the first things explained and makes complete sense; it’s about teaching the people in class, the training comes every day outside of class. My pup and I can’t wait to take more classes!

As for Oona, she is in basic training with Sara to rein in some of the not so great behaviors we’ve let her get away with since her long ago puppy training. We are also taking a dog forensics training with Sara, to better learn how to keep ourselves and our dogs (including our third one, Halainn, who loves barking just a little too much) behaving while having lots of good fun going forward.
