One of the most effective ways of doing this is learning how to properly communicate with your canine companion and learning to listen to them. When pets and people aren’t speaking the same language, it can be frustrating. Just like with any good relationship, communication is key!
I believe training should be fun, for both you and your dog, and that training with your dog should help create a strong, lasting relationship built on respect and trust. I take pride in providing a safe, fun, and compassionate environment to learn in.

I am bringing home a creme golden retriever on Sept 3. He will be 9 weeks. When shud i start his obedience training at your facility. Is it s once s week class? I dont work so reinforcement can be done between classes. thank you Jane B.

I offer a free drop in Puppy Preschool every Saturday morning from 10-10:30am for pups age 8-16 weeks. Puppies must have had their first round of distemper/parvo vaccine and been in your home at least 10 days prior to coming to class. As soon as your puppy meets these requirements then you are welcome to come!
When you come to Puppy Preschool you'll want to bring your puppy wearing a leash and a portion of high value food (cheese, boiled chicken, hot dogs, boiled egg, or sliced turkey) to use as rewards.

I feel blessed to have found her for my dog training needs and couldn't have done it without her! My dog was a very fearful rescue that was found under a shed with his littermates and he earned his good canine citizen award due to the training Sara equipped me with. I highly recommend Mr. Dog Training !!!

I recently completed the virtual basic obedience class with my 6 month old puppy and it was the perfect set up for him to engage in all of the basics while in the environment he is most comfortable and able to learn in. We were then able to practice in between classes in different places thanks to the solid foundation created and resources provided each week with Sara. I also highly recommend Sara’s ‘Fearful Fido’ video as it has been instrumental in helping Darby’s dog reactivity and anxiety based behaviors. We are already looking forward to the next class and I’m so glad I found Mr Dog training!
