Couldn't be any happier with my results from Marcus at Mudd Creek Retrievers. Drake went from not wanting to pick up a duck to all he wants to do...EVER... I am extremely impressed with Marcus's skills and experience in bird dog training. He has no problem answering any questions you have or even loves having you down to train with the kennel. I am excited to get Drake out for this hunting season and see how we work together. Drake will be returning next year for continued training. As a newcomer to hunt trials with a promising retriever, we were seeking a skilled professional, excellent communicator and knowledgeable trainer. After doing our research, we learned of Marcus and Mudd Creek Retrievers. We observed Marcus' work at a hunt test, and quickly saw his knowledge, talent and professionalism at work. His abilities were unmatched. We felt confident in sending our dog for a summer of training and were overwhelmingly pleased with the experience and results. We are grateful for the dedicated care, compassion and individualized training our dog received. Marcus was a patient and caring educator for our dog, and for the two of us. After training with Marcus, our retriever not only excelled in Master Hunt tests, but has also become a confident, capable and composed hunting companion. I took my pup Lucy to Marcus when she was 5 months old. He kept her in his house for the first 2 months to work on obedience and inside manners, then turned her into a hunting machine! He kept me updated with her progress and let me come watch some training sessions. She is already doing water retrieves on ducks and flushing and retrieving pheasants at only 9 months old. I’m so happy with her performance! Can’t recommend Marcus enough.
