If you choose to use him, BEWARE! I don't usually leave bad reviews but this is for the innocent animals that can't speak for themselves. At first, Corey was great and seemed very knowledgeable. When I sent my dog to his board and train, everything changed. Corey had my dog from October 14th to January 17th (approximately 14 weeks). I never got a video, picture, or detailed update, even after I requested multiple times. The only answer Corey would give me was, "he's doing really good." I've had a previous dog professionally trained (board & train) by another place and received weekly updates (without having to ask), he was service dog trained in 6 weeks. After not getting answers, I went to see how my dog was doing. He was under weight (there was a female in heat), but didn't really know much for being "trained" for 14 weeks. Corey was focusing on the "brace" command and putting so much pressure on my dog (and in the incorrect place), that his little legs were shaking. My dog wasn't even a year old and Corey was doing a task that shouldn't be done until a dog is AT LEAST 2 years old and after hips are x-rayed. Long story short, my dog knew LESS after being with Corey. Corey didn't do any work with me, didn't explain what my dog was taught or what commands were used. I had to fight to get my supplies back and what was sent, wasn't mine. I don't know what my dog was fed as what was returned (in the container) was not what I was feeding and sending to Corey. Due to Corey's actions or lack of, my dog suffered and isn't able to be my next SD. Corey was very unorganized and had no respect for other people's property. It's very unfortunate.

I spent over $3,000 for an intermediate board and train program and yet my dog came back SO terrified and so skinny with calluses on her body. As upset as I am with the money lost, I am even more heartbroken at my dog’s loss of confidence and the flinching she does now when she thinks she’s going to be punished. I gave this trainer a chance despite not having any proper certifications with organizations like the CCPDT/IAABC listed on his website because I saw all the good reviews here and just needed to quickly board her while I went on pre-deployment training at Fort Irwin. He seemed friendly and knowledgable enough but upon meeting the trainer there were red flags I should have turned and ran from. I recently reached out to the trainer asking what all was trained because I could tell she wasn’t taught the intermediate skills I paid for, and he never replied. Doesn’t pick up calls. I feel like I paid to have my dog neglected. I’m convinced I’ll never get my money back but PLEASE research the trainer you’re going to leave your dog with if you’re going to board them. There are some sketchy trainers out there, and I don’t want any other dog owners to feel the guilt I do now.
